Stone Cold arms up at the turnbuckle. He changed modern wrestling.
The man literally saved the WWF from possible death. It's Stone Cold for sure
I agree Stone Cold . Austin giving Rock the stunner
Thought the same thing
💯
THIS.
I love tommy unbothered energy towards Dave 😂😂😂
And bullies not giving a F attitude 😂
😂😂😂 unbothered lol 😂 I was sitting here cracking up through this whole video and yesterday’s with Dave and bullie lol 😂
It's hilarious 😂
Dave blowing up on Tommy about changing the NBA logo ...SO GREAT!! And there's Bubba calmly snacking away as Dave Loses it!!! That said.... Silhouette of Savage flying elbow off the top rope.
Thank you that’s exactly what I was thinking
Fucking love Dave also do you know Tommy did that just the fuck with him😂
Dave is an over the top idiot sometimes
That’s the one.
Has to be hogan slamming Andre and I don’t even like hogan
my first thought
This. Andre was the premier attraction in the business and he passed that torch to Hulk. Wouldn’t mind seeing WWE produce some merchandise centered around this concept.
literally thought the same thing
It really is the only answer
Exactly what came to my mind too. Also maybe a silhouette of HBK hitting the sweet chin music
Daves freaking out, Tommy is uncovered and Bubba is just chilling eating
Hogan doing his pose or flexing would be the logo of wrestling.
not really. Hulk Hogan was massive for his time, but most of the new gen dont really like the guy
@@Br0130 It's not about liking him it's about how recognizable he is I hate hold but I agree with him
@@Br0130it’s hogan and it’s not even close.
@@Br0130new gen on the internet which is a very small minority. Hogan is noticeable globally.
the one arm straight out, other curled up. Literally iconic, or him holding his hand to his ear
Hulk Hogan slamming Andre would be the wrestling logo
Yep
Hulk Hogan Ripping A Shirt Silhouette First Came To Mind For Me.
Same. & in the same style as the MLB logo.
Good one
I hate to say it, but it would definitely be Hulk Hogan.
He's the reason why professional wrestling exploded in popularity during the 1980s and became a global phenomenon.
Yea it would be Hogan based off everything you mentioned... but due to his troubles in the past who would you have as a close second?
@@CharlonClarke If not Hogan, then either Ric Flair or André the Giant would be a more viable option.
Bully's answers of a generic gorilla press or Hogan's pose should been the end of the end of the conversation
It literally HAS to be Hulk Hugan's signature flex.
The one with the flexed bicep and the extended arm pointing outward.
And anyone not watching regularly would think it is some kind of bodybuilding logo.
@@Thunderb3MartinThe slam or the leg drop as a silhouette
i love how fired up dave gets man that shit cracks me up
Silhouette of The Undertaker choke slamming someone.
The look on Tommy and Bullys face at :40 is what we all look like when David LaGreca starts ranting about something stupid.
The rock in the pose when he's doing the "do you smell what the rock is cooking"....
1. Its the rock EVERYONE knows him.
2. Its iconic for every wrestling fan
3. People know the rock and the mic shows more than just the wrestling.... which has taken a back seat at this point
No
Stone Cold bashing beers on the top rope
That's it
Hulk Hogan leg drop is the wrestling logo! 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
Savage elbow drop.
A lot of people don't consider how a silhouette looks against a backdrop. When creating a silhouette, it needs to be universal. If you have poses like "the rock" or "stone cold," people in different countries won't necessarily associate them with those individuals when presented with the silhouette against a background. Most of the images will just look like a big blob with an image sticking out. It's hard to honestly look at a picture. The reason most people know the silhouette in the NBA's logo is because we were told who it is. However, like Dave said, it works for the NBA because the figure could be anybody. It works because it's simple and recognizable as a person dribbling a basketball. The gorilla press or Hogan pose also work well because they could be universally accepted and associated with wrestling. When you bring up other people who don't have iconic poses and it's just a figure, you won't necessarily think of wrestling or even the individuals it's meant to represent. A graphic designer would tell you that simplicity works best when making logos because you don't want things to be too busy and unidentifiable. So it's best to keep things simple and easily recognizable.
I think it would be a silhouette of Hogan body slamming Andre. Or... A Mt Rushmore of the best wrestlers. Or a silhouette of Austin giving the double bird.
Ayooo Dave is bugging 😂
Talking in circles
I feel for bully 🤦🏾♂️ AEW Chat board 😂😂😂
Bully was what we needed on this segment. The voice of reason here
This guy is going to bring up gorgeous George and act as if he did anything iconic that people would know what the picture is about. Get the.....
Triple H spitting the water out on the apron would be a fire logo.
The Wrestling Logo should be Randy Orton's entrance pose. It's iconic, it highlights the showmanship of wrestling, and if you asked someone what it meant then they'd probably most likely say wrestling.
To me, the obvious answer would be Steve Austin with his arms in the air
A conversation about the NBA logo on a pro wrestling show is hilarious 😅😅😅😅
IMO the logo for pro wrestling should be Hulk Hogan body slamming Andre the Giant. For the moment and what it did for wrestling at that time.
Hogan doing his ear pose, Randy Orton striking his pose, someone slamming someone
Tommy’s face when he froze lmao😂
As much as i hate to say it but it should be the silhouette of Hogan slam Andre.
Dave also booking the most legendary wrestling world in his mind is fkn mental and hilariously crazy.
Roman performing a Superman punch, Orton posing, Cena performing an AA
Dave mid life crisis has triggered due to NBA logo 😂
The first one that came to mind for me was Savage's flying elbow so I'm glad Dreamer said it. But also Bully's one of just the gorilla press works very well
I'm so happy Tommy said Flair. The second the video started I immediately said Flair. the pageantry of Flair represents what wrestling is all about. logo doesnt have to have physicality or an action pose. Just have flair doing one of his signature poses. I get that it would be hard to do flair as a purely black silhoette, but who ever said the logo has to be all black? Logos in business are not always black. If you look up ric flair silhoette in google, you can get a pretty good idea of how to still have ric flair as a silhoette but adding a bit of color into it. It would be awesome!
The logo is just a silhouette of Dave LaGreca having an unhinged rant
A silhouette of Hogan slamming Andre, no one under 60 would recognize Gorgeous George
RVD with his thumbs to his shoulders. Bully's idea of Slammy trophy is good.
West was chosen as the logo because of the actual pose and not because of who he was yet it is iconic
lol loved when Bully was having a snack while Dave was flipping out; very nice guy but his blood pressure must go through the roof at times
If Tommy dreamer doesn't DDT Dave out of his classes I'm going to be surprised, he literally just told Tommy dreamer I can't believe that you don't respect professional wrestling history LOL. God bless Dave but he puts his hands in his feet in his mouth sometimes.
He's the Skip Bayless to Shannon Sharpe 😂
Bully saying a gorilla press was actually a perfect idea lmao
Every time Dave goes on one of these rants I feel like I need to be wearing one of those DX spit guards with the wipers that they had for sgt slaughter
7:41 changing the nba logo to Jordan would mean as much as Jerry West. West “created the 3pt shot” but Jordan made the NBA a household name and the reason players can get individual shoe contracts and lucrative sponsorships. He low-key means more to NBA history than Jerry West
Magic and Larry are the most significant figures in modern NBA history. without them there wouldn't have been an NBA for Jordan to get drafted to.
Either two silhouettes doing a collar and elbow tie up or someone half way through a body slam.
The classic wrestling pose of the two arms out in front of the body should be the silhouette.
The Rock doing the do you smell mic pose silhouette WOULD be cool! Apart from the Roman Reigns superman punch (Michael Jordan) silhoutte which is trademarked i think.
Not gonna lie, when I saw the title of this discussion, the Hogan bicep was the first image in my mind.
Other thoughts would be:
a generic suplex or body slam
The Rock with a mic in hand
Bret Hart with someone in a sharpshooter
Ironically, Roman's merch has a silhouette of him doing the Superman punch, it's very Air Jordan-esque. To me, I'd use a silhouette of The Rock doing his turnbuckle pose where he raises his arm. It's iconic, and very easy to generalize in the same way we do with Jerry West's pose.
The Hogan logo Bully said was the logo for Saturday Night's Main Event too.
Ha.
i wanna change it once a year to spite dave
It's gotta be a silhouette Hulk Hogan doing the "hearing the fans" pose. His flexing poses could be mistaken for body-building. His "hearing pose" would reference the fans being the crucial part of professional wrestling/sports entertainment.
Responding to this 1:30 in so maybe they said this but...
I think best Wrestling Icon would be a silhouetted image of Gunther from behind, legs slightly spread, one hand locked to his back while the other holds the title in the air. It's just a simple iconic image. No one has looked better.
nice image surely, imo I find it hard to select anything other than Orton's signature pose on the turnbuckle. Thats what a wrestler is supposed to look like.
What I like about the NBA logo is that you don't need to know who specifically that is to see that it's a basketball player. Whether it's 1970 or 2024, the NBA logo looks like a basketball player. For wrestling I wouldn't go for a specific person or pose because the logo could then be dated over time as styles and looks change. I would do the silhouette of the ring ropes like you're looking at it from the hard cam and two wrestling like figures who look like they're ready to lock up.
I know it’s a newer guy, but an iconic silhouette would be a classic, big chokeslam, Damian Priest’s South of Heaven as an example because of the height he gets on them
the hogan side pose is the frist thing that comes to mind but there’s an argument that can be made for mysterio as the logo
10:03 Bully sums up the conversation perfectly 😂😂 Dave really took all the fun out of this
Bret Hart doing his rock on pose after winning matches \m/
The logo should be Hulk body slamming Andre because that was an iconic moment
It would be a perfect lockup
This segment was great! Seeing Dave fired up and Bubba and Tommy just chilling 😊
Bruno Sammartino with Buddy Rogers up on his shoulder in the backbreaker...
I think the logo would be better and less polarizing if it was centered on a “emotion” or “feeling”. The wrestlers says fans are most important, obviously. Maybe a logo of snapshot of a raucous crowd?
I have two that I think would look good and I can't decide which one I would go with...
1. Is a wrestler holding another over his head for a body press...
2. The Undertaker choke slamming a opponent..
I just don't know how #2 would look in a silhouette format...
I think the Arm Lock up that starts mostly every match in history. That represents wrestling. That's thought in wrestling school right away.
The Andre Hogan face off, or a basic collar elbow tie up
Has to be Hogan, Hogan ripping his shirt, Hogans signature flex pose, or Hogan slamming Andre.
Hey, Dave. This one's for you. Silhouette of Cody Rhodes during the WHOA spot of his entrance.
It's Randy Orton, that's the logo
Amazing question and topic. These types of conversations I will always have time for
The point is already right there. Most people don’t know the NBA logo is Gerri West. It just happens to be a great silhouette. It could’ve been the last bench guy on the worst team in the league. It was a good silhouette. Wrestling would have to be two guys, collar or something.Silhouettes or muscular no-faces.
It’ll have to be the Hogan pose
I would have either Randy Ortan pose or Shawn Michaels doing sweet chin music
I'm with on the superkick. It's the most used move in pro wrestling today
John Cena U Can’t See Me
Bruno Sammartino with his arms out on his sides. Literally just Google “Bruno sammartino pose” and it’ll be one of the first ones. That one just represents wrestling as a whole as well as the legacy of the WWWF/WWF/WWE
Back shot of Undertaker raising his arm
No Diddy bro
Love bully’s face during this!!!
The wrestling logo should be a known move maybe a Brock lesnar suplex or a gable suplex or an Angle Slam
The pro wrestling logo should be classic 2 people locking up...
Only three moves
- lock up
- chokeslam
Super kick
*no order
A flexing silhouette to me says body building, not wrestling. Imo the logo should be the Savage elbow drop. Elbow drop is pure wrestling.
If we're gonna do a wrestling logo it's definitely have a silhouette of the iconic Ric Flair doing his signature move figure four on somebody (I'm thinking the fight Flair and Steamboat)
A silhouette of a wrestler giving a piledriver to their opponent would be my choice. Hogan, Undertaker, Savage and many other wrestlers have used the move, so the action wouldnt be synonymous with any particular wrestler. Also fans and non fans would easily be able to identify the silhouette to be related to professional wrestling, especially since its been banned in many wrestling promotions.
Orton going to perform an RKO out of no where. Probably multiple images of such that would work in silhouette
RVD or Eddie hitting the frog splash
Oooooh, maybe it should be a Luchador jumping in a splash pose from the top rope.
Or a Macho Man elbow from the top.
Undertakers chokeslam to me describes what lagreca is saying
I think you need a representation of the ring in the logo. For me I am with Bully, I like the crossbody off the top rope. A second choice would be the Hogan Big boot to the head. Third choice is the Steve Austin turnbuckle pose with both arms raised
All killer options
Silhouettes:
Hogan's shirt tear
Shawn Michaels super kick
Ultimate Warrior rope shake
Macho Man elbow drop
Undertaker on one knee pose
The mask of justin thunder liger would be a great logo for a wrestling company. He symbolises everything.
Eddie - suplex / Randy -RKO / Brock - F5
The Gorilla press logo would be perfect. Also Macho man hitting a diving elbow drop. What other sport has an elbow drop like that?
My first thought was the rocks turnbuckle fist raise
21:46 thats your logo 😂😂😂😂
Dave just wants and argument with that’s discussion needs a chill pill
more iconic wrestling Savage pose is his finger waving
Should be when a champion stand on the turn buckle raising the title in the air in my opinion, everyone does it
How Mark and Tom deal with the mark of all marks is beyond me! How does anyone mark out this bad, "bro"?
And yes, it's absolutely Hogan. At the end of the night, Hogan must pose.
In fact I don't even want to watch this episode anymore and I really like this podcast
*I think it could also be the backshot image of Austin walking down the ramp at WM19*
Ayyyooooo
Dave got so upset it was funnnnnnnny lol
A body slam or suplex being performed by silhouettes would make sense
Rings, championship belts, clotheslines, submissions, super kicks and drop kicks can be confused with other combat sports
Powerbombs and piledrivers would look wrong
Bulldog or frog splash maybe but less certain
