I like hearing the sound of the tools being used and no background music. It makes for an immersive and relaxing experience.
Well ya the tools and my awesome sound effects!
Agreed I'm not a fan of the time lapse video's with just music playing. I enjoy watching the artist work and seeing the process. I don't mind video's with voice over work though.
Same here. Something just gets lost when you're doing the audio track afterward. Everything usually ends up being referred to in the past tense. Plus seeing a drill turning, or seeing sandpaper or even a spray gun and not hearing it is a little odd.
That is one cool cat.....the banter is another level and highly prized. You left nothing out and my life is now better as a result, thank you
You’re like a cross between Bob Ross and Bill Murray! Awesome videos, man.
This is just sweet. I'm glad you kept the orange color (my favourite 😉).... great restoration 👍
i like when you guys go for a "better" than new resto - i get that some people want a finish that is "factory", but my point is why settle for such a low target - youve gone thru all the trouble, make it the best it can be
One you drill the post, it’s fair game as far as I’m concerned!
It’s awesome...you’re like the Bob Ross of die cast painting. Happy little 🚙 🚗 🚘.
I've watched a few different guys on CZcams restoring Match Box and Hot Wheel cars and I've seen just 2 of your videos so far. I have to say, you definitely go the extra mile with the body prepping. Your paint jobs are thinner and smoother than others. Put it all together and it really shows in the end that your attention to details makes for a nicer looking product when it's finished! The time and effort that you've put into these cars shows. Nice job!
Nice video bro 👌👌👍... i dont understand who are those 4👎 ..n what they want in their ... how one can dislike such a straigh forward n awesome video... 😕😕
Memories! My first HW - in 1968 - was an orange Custom Cougar. Had a brown interior, but otherwise identical to this beautiful piece.
Wow, beautiful restoration, amazing job.
Love that orange Spectra Flame!
Awesome,well done.
Your entertaining goofy-doofyness is getting so much better! Keep it up!
Thanks man, for sticking around! I'm only going to get more insane as we go along here hahah
What an incredible restoration! I love your personality, reminds me of bobbydukearts. Stay memey my friend
Loool exaclty what I was thinking!
Ahh yes Adam.. the memes are strong with this one.. I'm trying to go easy right now because my account is under review to get monetized.. We'll have more fun later on ^^^
That thing is sick in a good way great job on the video
Superb level of paint finishing. beautiful work !
Absolutely Perfect
Excellent
Really great job :) Paint looks awesome!
another great car saved. nice job
i cut a sewing needle in half and push blunt end into the end of a small paint brush so its like a pencil but instead of lead at the end its a needle point,i usw this to scrap out all the casting lines like the tail lights and lines between each panel to bring up the deatail, some use a dental pick, though i prefer the smaller needle tip
Sweet looking car
Looks great . Nice work . Like that color.
I'm retired now....waiting for my back to heal so that I can get back to hiking the AT; to keep from going insane, I took on inside hobbies (i.e. decoy carving and cast iron skillet, old tool and antique chair restorations). I came across this and other die cast restoration sites. I have close to 300 of mine and my brothers Red Lines, J Lightnings and Matchbox wrapped up in the basement---still in their collectors cases! Now all I have to do is convince the Domestic Commander (wife) to allow me to purchase airbrush, compressor etc. Your paint booth is gorgeous. Curious as to how much room I need to build a similar down in my "man cave". In Navy-ese, "Bravo-Zulu" on this orange Cougar, amigo....well done!
Hopefully you can get permission! haha!
show the painting it never gets old
This is the most entertaining channel in history, beautiful paint job as always!!
Another fine restoration.... keep 'em coming.
Minty! Something just ran down my trouser leg. I hope it was sweat.
Very beautiful ❤ car
Absolutely magic job!!..... Well done!!.............
That turned out awesome I own a 1968 Cougar both Hot Wheels type and the real thing so this made me smile. I been watching a lot of your videos I might get into the hobby of restoring them.
That looks incredible! Good work!
My girlfriend had that car! Loved those motor-driven sequential tail lights! First car I ever rebuilt a carb on, also first clutch job. Beautiful lines on that car.
For sure, one of my favorites! Wait till you see the Nitty Gritty Kitty I just did...
Great video men we will wait for your next redline restore
Nice job.
new sub! Your off-the-cuff comments are getting pretty good!! Keep it up!
Thanks man, welcome to the channel!

Man that looks so good makes me remember all the hot ones I had when I was a kid
That's a beauty
Beautiful
That restoration is beautiful
Awesome vídeo , loved it 👍
I really enjoy the commentary. good work on the restoration too.
That’s badass,love it
Absolutely beautiful.
Really enjoy the final result.
Excelente trabajo!! 👏👏👏👏👏👍👍
Looks great ! I did want to mention one thing. Im sure you may know but just incase. With zinc coatings you have facets. Which is the way that the paint sparkels off of the different angles and such. You also get a different look when u polish to a chrome finish witch is what took place here. I would love to see a vidio where someone takes two identical cars , zinc plates both, polish one to a chromed finish. And just use a little 0000 steel whool on the other then paint both with identical paint jobs to then see the difference. Original redlines didnt pilish to a chrome finish rather they used a zinc faceted finish but yeah. Dont get me wrong i like it and im not trying to be mean or discriminating just wanted to mention it. Thanks and i look forward to more vidios. Your quickly becoming the best!
I totally understand, if I were to do a car for someone else I would ask them what kind of finish they would like. Since these are my little trophies I like them to be as flashy as possible. As soon as you drill out the post you’ve lost all original value anyways if there was any left in these junkyard cars.
Love the bubble
Beautiful Restore 👍👍
Great color combo
Freakin sweet. Love the ‘ernge’ ones.
Love the paint job and your sound effects.
Looks great!
Man I miss your videos A LOT! Greetz from Germany
That turned out awesome
Love the bubly
Excellent 👍
Flawless Victory!
Seriously loving your channel. 👍🏻
damned nice job, the paint turned out amazing. i wanted to see you use your zinc plating setup, but i guess we'll just have to wait for that.
I'm not really much of a Ford guy, but this is shaweet! Probably up there in my list of favorite. One of the other ones that I really liked is more recent, and I think it was a Cougar. If not then it's a T-Bird. It's another car that had acid burns on the LF corner. I believe it started out greenish but ended up purple with a vinyl roof.
loogithat crusty fender! Another fantastic vid, dude!
It looks incredible ! And THAT’S without buffing out the new paint?!? Amazing. Frankly I’m surprised that the corroded front fender and bumper buffed out without needing new Zinc plating...
Great work, and you couldn’t be more correct. A nice paint job (of ANY kind) is all based on the amount of prep work done beforehand. Congrats on another successful Redline Resurrection...A+
Thanks buddy, yup, that’s the exact paint job I filmed, no buffing or polishing of any kind ;)
Diecast Resurrection ...I’ve seen other Redline restorers use polishing compound AFTER they paint their cars and the paint job STILL doesn’t turn out as well as your original, unpolished paint job! So that is beautiful work!
Just one more question...have you considered searching for original vintage wheels in really fine condition to use on your restored cars? I know they’re hard to get, but repros always look like repros....just asking...
Oh, and a wheel tool to put them back on really helps. That plastic bearing can be a real bitch if you break it. You can also straighten out a really mangled axle with it, too!
wow !!!!!
Looking a real nice
Hi five!
Pretty and shiny 🙂
With the absence of side marker lights, more closely resembles the 1967 Mercury 'big cat' Couger.
Nonetheless, very nice job!
Stunning!
i liked the rotten fender, looked like a car you might see on the street
nice video man!! but the final shot is lookng blur, maybe puting a white back will fix that.
Nice.
Someone gave this car a solid bite.
wow....supernice
really enjoy your vids.car looks mega
One of your best!
Wow, very nice. Love it!
Thanks Joe!
Man that looks sharp!
Thanks brother!
Sweeeeet!
Great video. Incredible pre-paint finish on that car. Awesome job. I'm getting the urge to do one myself. Another one actually. Started watching BM and WnTh vids last year and did a custom '82 Chevy S-10. Love your channel. You're funny.
Thanks man I appreciate that!
A fine looking restorative effort, with a stellar end result!
I'm old enough to have enjoyed Matchboxes for several years, prior to the introduction of Hot Wheels. My first two were the Blue Camaro, and the Dodge Deora, and were purchased from our local Woolworth's, which had a "Bargain Basement" toy department; they cost $2.10, and an invitation was included to 'purchase a frankfurter' (.30¢) at the luncheonette, get a "prize chance balloon" for another .25¢, "Five Hot Wheels Track Sets are among the prizes" (basic, with one loop attachment, sold for $4.95 +tax).
You were allowed to purchase one balloon - for each hot dog purchased. My 8 y/o former self "stalled out" halfway through the second dog, and no, I didn't win squat....
After their introduction, Hot Wheels were played with on the porch, wiped off, and stored in the same trays as Matchboxes; Matchboxes, however, were the vehicles of choice for the "dirt mound, and sandbox/neighbors cat lavatory. It's great to see both 'restored, collected, and cherished' by two subsequent generations.
Bought a bag of cars for the kids from the charity shop some months back when dropping stuff off. This same car was in the bag, missing the hood though.
That’s my favourite one...oh man
That cleaned out so nice I would have just done a clear coat and done the delorian look.
That’s awesome bro! Amazing work bruh. I’m actually just starting to do some restorations and some custom work myself. I’ve been restoring cars my whole life so I thought I’d give die casts a try! Thx for your helpful hints on things.
Yea its way cheaper that having a project in the garage at all times. Yet you get the satisfaction of finishing something!
Wow 😎
I like your voice, you sound a bit like bobby duke
Thank you to take a time to make this videos. Really great job. ... also I like to ask the size of the screws and where to buy them. Thanks again
Any color of candy Apple 🍏 would look nice
Lol jizz all over your room jaja your awesome!!! And get the little heinie... lol Enjoyed watching brother loving the videos and you just make them that much better... take care bro... and big thumbs up.. ;) =) :) stay cool!!! :D
I love your comments man... you get me... ... :D
Completely agree! And the fact that you pretend to drive it with the sound effects cracks me up!
Yeah that made me chuckle too lol👍
Stone cold steave Austin is my favorite one
Beeeeeutiful
I have a splittin image that’s near mint besides a crack in the glass. Is there a way to remove the crack without drilling apart the car?
Another masterpiece, good job👍
What air brush and compressor do you use, I assume these would be the most expensive part of tools for restoration apart from the Redlines themselves. Also what brand polish and paint stripper do you use?
I use about a $120 airbrush its a Paasche Talon with the factory needle. Polish is 3M Perfect it, Stripper is Aircraft stripper by Klean Strip.
How many Cougars were made?
Dude I am sure missing seeing new videos,Going back to the beginning and re watching to clear my mind of the news bullshit. Hope you are ok.
