I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the Holo Taco polishes. I love the one coat black.

you gotta put a base coat and a glassy taco! and the linear is supposed to be "sheer" until it gets in the sun

They were kinda lumpy because you need to put a glossy top coat to smood them out. Also the linear holo is sheer because is supposed to be a top coat and not cover the design underneath
I live for super glossy taco, best top coat I've ever used!
A glossy topcoat also brings out the holo. My nails look nice before a topcoat, but they're distractingly holo after a layer or two of "taco"!
I'm learning this isn't common, growing up and doing our own nails top coat was our saving grace

they're lumpy cuz cristine jam-packed the holo into them. and her recommendation is to double coat a glossy top coat on top of it if you want to smooth it out as well as just in general to protect the layers underneath and reduce chipping
The wear test impressed me. I have trouble even keeping gel nails because I work as a medical technician and I’m opening up bottles all the time! Might have to try these. I’m on makeup no buy for 2020.....didn’t say anything about nail polish 🤭

Abraham E a holo top coat is not the same as a glossy quick-dry top coat
Rainbow snow and frost light are glitter polishes and need to be used with a top coat. The linear holo is a top coat and is not necessarily supposed to have full pigment like the the polishes because it’s a top coat. You can layer up the top coat to have more holos on it but it won’t be opaque.

I got the Christmas one and I loveeeeee the glitter and pigmentation! I couldn’t purchase the glossy taco and peely base but I used an alternative base coat and it worked perfectly! I’m happy you made this video been waiting for a holo review from you! :)

Dang that wear test wasn't half bad! Especially for someone who's really rough on their nails. I might have to give this stuff a try. A big reason why I don't bother painting my nails with regular polish is they're usually wrecked by day 2-3. I also really need to invest in some gel polish and a light but this stuff seems awesome.

I love these holo tacos. Nail polish wont dry in the lamp but the heat from the lamp will help a little bit by making it evaporated faster

the one coat black is so satisfying for me it gave me chills. i really need it i use black nail polish the most lol
I loooove rainbow snow! I bought so many bottles of it! It can be opaque in just two coats, so gorgeous! It can get pretty gloopy because of how much holo is packed into it but a few little drops of nail polish thinner fixes it right up! (Remember never put acetone/polish remover into glitter polish especially! It eats up the glitter!)
Edit: I also swear by her super glossy quick dry top coat. It works miracles I swear!

I would use a peel off base. I have one I use to practice my nails. I use the full cover Makartt nails.
(I use the UNT ready for take off peel off base) I’ve even done the apres dupes with this and they will stay on. But you and just pop them off easily and there’s no damage at all to your nails.
I know you do the nails for content, I do mine for practice because I’m shite at polish. Lol. I use my practice hand, but sometimes I want to practice on myself but not be stuck with a hot mess on lol

I really like the linear Holo, I do wish it was more pigmented too but when the light hits it 🥺
This is not meant to be pigmented. It's a top coat, it's supposed to go on a base color, to make it holographic ;)

It lasted so good even without a clear top coat
I'm using the long lasting base with the filler base under it, then 1-coat black, then a variety of the other tacos, plus glossy taco, and it really seems a couple days more durable than anything else I've tried.

You can add a gel topcoat over the top once it’s completely dry. Then you can use it on your acrylics to last longer x
I’ve tried that and it always wrinkles or peels! Even if I’ve left it to dry for over a day
Oh really, I’ve tried some in the past and they’ve been ok. But with done it cracks the Polish. Have you ever heard of chroma gel advanced? It’s a clear gel that you put over any nail polish and it turns it into gel.
You should try it, it would make a great video too. X

Emily Susanah dang...ok....let me ask this really fast...what is the best brand of polygel in your opinion? I have several different brands and they all are different... some gels acts like it needs more slip solution, some needs less, some need more time to cure and others don’t....or is it more of a whatever works/you can’t figure out better kind of thing?

You gotta try the E-Nail Couture 1-2-3 Go full cover gel nails. They come in XXL!!! I have been loving 🥰 them in the XXL Stiletto & XXL Coffin.
