This originally fictional band, created by Eric Idle and Neil Innes for a sketch in Idle's mid-1970s . No copyright infringement intended . All shared from You Tube with thanks.

Thanks Eilenn ..I managed to get my downloader working again ..so gave in !! The group are meant to be a mickey take of The Beatles ..and funnily enough The Beatles loved them !! 🙂

This is a nice compilation but I'm pretty sure the songs at 06:48 and 18:18 are not Rutles.
Thank you Fred ..you could be right ..I was looking for Rutle songs and they came up. I agree they sound different ..but the members of the Rutles were very clever people and could easily have produced the sounds we hear. :)
@@peteroberts4033 I was hoping you found some unreleased tracks but not even my Soundhound app could id those two tracks. I still enjoy their 1st album, really catchy stuff and they hit on all the Beatle details. Neil Innes was a freaking genius, RIP Nasty.
Pete glad you’re back on CZcams, Pete it’s 8am here but I guess you’re still in the land of Nod , it’s Father’s Day here, hope you enjoy your Father’s Day, I’ve been playing Jimmy Buffet songs , sadly he passed away yesterday at a young age of 76, RIP, I wondered what you thought of his music, I liked him and Margaritaville was one of his songs I really like.

Never heard of this, but I sure enjoyed it! In Uruguay and Argentina, they had two similar bands that, to me sounded like a blend of The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones, they were called The Shakers, and The Mockers, have you heard of them? Thanks for posting!!
