I love the idea that to Nurgle, Orks are just those rascally scamps down the street who occasionally stop by and hang out with him for a bit. They occasionally rough up his garden, but he knows they mean well and are just having fun.
While they are ostensibly prohibited from serving Chaos, they feed it nonetheless. Whenever Ork spores settle down and change the ecosystem, or Orks change the course of a culture by interacion with them, or they change a landscape with their "Orkiforming" abilities or constantly tinker in new forms of technology and bizarre mad science, they are feeding Tzeentch. Whenever they revel in the cacophony of their guns, or the sweet smell of destruction as their barbaric form of hyper-ecstasy ,or howl in pain or rage, or exhult in the glory of victory from collecting large amounts of teef or see a pile of skraps, they feed Slaanesh. And whenever they tear down a defensive structure, or litter the battlefield with their dead and their derelict vehicles, they are feeding Nurgle. Orks are already semi-Khornate, but they're still xenos but, they love killing, fightings, and spreading blood, and they stick spikes over all their shit. Plus they have a lot of skulls.Only thing they dont have is the rage since its all fun for them.
If I recall correctly, in Warhammer Fantasy specifically, Orcs are untouchable by Chaos' influence because they just don't acknowledge the existence of chaos whatsoever, the warriors and demons are just gitz dat need a good krumpin
They are aware of Chaos, it just that their concepts are alien for them, and agaisnt their nature. The closest thing is Khorne, but he ravels in carnage and massacre in a egocentric way, as mean to an end of domination, power and climbing the food chain. Orks fights because why the hell not? Were are big, we are green, might as well get some teeth. The fun is in a good fight, so, a good WAAGH is just a big party.

The best part about it? They won't fight the chaos-worshiping orks because they spread corruption, but just to show that because the follow Gork and/or Mork that they are just better.
I wonder if Orks would align with Chaos not over worship of Gork or Mork, but rather over being a part of a Klan, or that a Choas god is a Klan. So youd have Khorne Orks but theyd still believe GorkyMork were great warlords, Khorne also being a great warlord, but theyd be in the Khorne Klan instead of sonething like The Goffs.
Thank you for making this, I had created a Freeboota Ork for a DnD campaign I am playing, and this gave me the idea to deepen his backstory. You guys are usually great but this was the catalyst I needed to make Kaptain Brikkfist of the Breakfasta, an even better character.

I remember reading somewhere that there was an ork who fell to Tzeentch, though there weren't any details surrounding his story. Also, the idea of an ork daemon prince is absolutely terrifying.
and how about Tzeentch having Crip Orks, blue skinned ork daemons, since both Gork and Mork include in their description the word "cunning" so why should Khorne get all the orks; Mad Doks, Mek Boys, always changing bodies/vehicles; then the Weird Boyz for the psykers

Slaanesh isn't just about being randy. A slaaneshi ork would become like an artist, obsessed with making his vehicle the best and fastest and his shooter the most flash EVER. Think a Flash Git amped up to extreme levels
Same. It's always bugged me that there are no examples of xenos races falling to Chaos in the modern game. There should be a named character Daemon Prince that's an Eldar or something. It just makes sense that there would occasionally be members of non-human species that are corrupted to that extent.
Imagine a swarm of ork/tyranid hybrids who worship chaos and reproduce from spores. Edit1 : Who also have looted Necron and Tau Tech. All theoretically possible in 40k btw.

You could definitely have Tzeentchian and Slaaneshi Orks as well, it'd just be way less common than Khornate ones. A Tzeentchian Ork would be one who's constantly scheming against other Orks in an effort to be the next Big Boss or something. Honestly, a particularly clever Grot is probably more likely to be corrupted by Tzeentch since they're more prone to long term planning than Orks are. Slaanesh is easy, though. You just get one or more Orks who love speed even more than their Speed Freak brethren and who take it to a point of utter excess and you can get Slaanesh worshiping Orks. It'd be incredibly rare, but not impossible and is definitely a fun idea for an army or something.
I think the key thing is the Orks wouldnt do something because their god demands it but rather because they would do it, so Tzeentch cant corrupt an Ork as Tzeentch cant corrupt Tzeentch.
Slaanesh speed freaks:They paint the back halves of their vehicles red for the speed boost, and they paint the front half purple for slaanesh, and in the process become invisible to everyone they speed towards. It's the perfect crime.
i am convinced that the only reason the imperium continues to exist is because they have a bunch of orks locked up in the holy palace's basement that they convinced that the imperium would last forever.

Slaanesh is the god of excess , not just pleasure and pain. I just wish you used excess in your description. Also nurgle is the god of healing as well as decay. It's very complex and nuanced as I'm sure your well aware. Outstanding vid, great presentation, thank you for all of this lore!

I like to think when a chaos demon tries to get into an Orks head they just look around and are like "what the hell?" and usually decide it isn't worth the trouble.
Nah, they would likely find an insane lust to fight, and madness. Either that, or it gets attacked by the ork WAAAAGH field and experiences the psychic equivalent of being punched in the face, having a awful migraine, and suffering a stroke all at the same time
IMO orks are well suited to worship Slaanesh for their sake of doing what they like. For example the evil sunz are whole dedicated to speed and making as loud a noise as possible when in combat just as Noise Marines. Or the bad moons with their love to dakkadakka
Can we all just take a moment and imagine Orks worshiping the god of Change? I think the phrase "I guts a cunzings Plan!" would cause a many great headache.
It would certainly be interesting to see a Waagh! Whose leader was an ork who worshipped chaos, and if his generals were worshippers of Khorne, Slaanesh, Nergal, and Tzeentch. It would be interesting to see a Wyrdboy leader who worshipped Tzeentch, a Mad Dok leader who worshipped Nergal, and a military leader each whose groups worshipped Khorne (obviously) and Slaanesh (revelling in the sensations of slaughter and carnage)
There used to be rules and models for that back in the Rogue Trader days. I think it could open some fun opportunities for conversion and army building.

This will allow us to move to stage 48 where we... Ork: Youz talk funy ead voice! Slaanesh Daemon: So...What do Orks do for pleasure Ork: We krump gitz! Slaanesh Daemon: Oh, do you savoir their pain as thy slowly expire? Do you cut them down in a skillfull flurry of a thousand small cuts? Ork: Nah, we just chop em gud! Slaanesh Daemon: oh...... Ork: Wez also drink fungus beer. Slaanesh Daemon:...ok that will do. Nurgle Daemon: Get the Grots to move all the "drops" piles into the center of the camp. Ork: Ta prank da boss? Nurgle Daemon....yeeees...we can even do a "funny dance" on top of it and sacraf.....krump a few grots for....extra fun.
A very extremely awesome video as always 40k Theories. And the chaos gods have a hugely amounts of power to make great numbers of daemons. And I also believe that the chaos gods may have thousands of daemon princes each.

i think the "Waaagh Field" might play a role in daemon possessions as the few examples seen were warbosses but we dont now WHEN the possession happened - they may have been a runt/outcast and encounter the Daemon when they were alone and used the new found power climb the ranks, perhaps each ork joined into the "waaagh Field" strengthens the resistance of each of them like an imperial psychic choir
I think with all the warp stroms and the rift splitting the galaxy, there could possibly be a large number of worlds with orks on them that cant just leave and are bascily stuck there to either mutate into something else or fall to the clutches of one of the gods.

I personally feel Orks should be even more intolerant of Chaos Orks to the extent that the Imperium would be shocked. Orks are in their own way a religious species who can know their Gods without being taught.
Freebooters are weird, but they still follow Gork and Mork. Chaos Orks should inspire utter hatred and rage for unorkie behaviour.

The best part about it?
They won't fight the chaos-worshiping orks because they spread corruption, but just to show that because the follow Gork and/or Mork that they are just better.
I wonder if Orks would align with Chaos not over worship of Gork or Mork, but rather over being a part of a Klan, or that a Choas god is a Klan. So youd have Khorne Orks but theyd still believe GorkyMork were great warlords, Khorne also being a great warlord, but theyd be in the Khorne Klan instead of sonething like The Goffs.

Thank you for making this, I had created a Freeboota Ork for a DnD campaign I am playing, and this gave me the idea to deepen his backstory. You guys are usually great but this was the catalyst I needed to make Kaptain Brikkfist of the Breakfasta, an even better character.

Though what you said does remind me of Orks being put into Mass Effect story I once read complete with Sheppurt and Warboss Hakkit.
I remember reading somewhere that there was an ork who fell to Tzeentch, though there weren't any details surrounding his story. Also, the idea of an ork daemon prince is absolutely terrifying.

and how about Tzeentch having Crip Orks, blue skinned ork daemons, since both Gork and Mork include in their description the word "cunning" so why should Khorne get all the orks; Mad Doks, Mek Boys, always changing bodies/vehicles; then the Weird Boyz for the psykers
Chaos actually have clear hierarchy, Gods to go by and agenda to push, Orks are more chaotic than chaos doctrinal wise.
There's a story about some Orcs in Hell that keeps fighting a demon horder over and over in a loop and they're loving it so much! xD

Slaanesh isn't just about being randy. A slaaneshi ork would become like an artist, obsessed with making his vehicle the best and fastest and his shooter the most flash EVER. Think a Flash Git amped up to extreme levels

I think its one of my favorite parts of the lore that orks can and do fall to alien and chaos corruption even if not in great amounts.
Same. It's always bugged me that there are no examples of xenos races falling to Chaos in the modern game. There should be a named character Daemon Prince that's an Eldar or something. It just makes sense that there would occasionally be members of non-human species that are corrupted to that extent.

You could definitely have Tzeentchian and Slaaneshi Orks as well, it'd just be way less common than Khornate ones. A Tzeentchian Ork would be one who's constantly scheming against other Orks in an effort to be the next Big Boss or something. Honestly, a particularly clever Grot is probably more likely to be corrupted by Tzeentch since they're more prone to long term planning than Orks are. Slaanesh is easy, though. You just get one or more Orks who love speed even more than their Speed Freak brethren and who take it to a point of utter excess and you can get Slaanesh worshiping Orks. It'd be incredibly rare, but not impossible and is definitely a fun idea for an army or something.
I think a Tzeentchian ork is just a Morker. Slaaneshi speed freaks would be possible, but how would they worship? Speed Freaks worship the holy V8.
I think the key thing is the Orks wouldnt do something because their god demands it but rather because they would do it, so Tzeentch cant corrupt an Ork as Tzeentch cant corrupt Tzeentch.
Slaanesh speed freaks:They paint the back halves of their vehicles red for the speed boost, and they paint the front half purple for slaanesh, and in the process become invisible to everyone they speed towards. It's the perfect crime.

Slaanesh is the god of excess , not just pleasure and pain. I just wish you used excess in your description. Also nurgle is the god of healing as well as decay. It's very complex and nuanced as I'm sure your well aware. Outstanding vid, great presentation, thank you for all of this lore!
The most scary Chaos Orks are the Slaneshi Orks. Tearing someone a new one takes on a whole new meaning.

of course being orks the oil would not actuality make them not jam as much but it would make it louder or give it a brighter muzzle flash and to a ork that's better.

Nah, they would likely find an insane lust to fight, and madness. Either that, or it gets attacked by the ork WAAAAGH field and experiences the psychic equivalent of being punched in the face, having a awful migraine, and suffering a stroke all at the same time

IMO orks are well suited to worship Slaanesh for their sake of doing what they like.
For example the evil sunz are whole dedicated to speed and making as loud a noise as possible when in combat just as Noise Marines.

It would certainly be interesting to see a Waagh! Whose leader was an ork who worshipped chaos, and if his generals were worshippers of Khorne, Slaanesh, Nergal, and Tzeentch. It would be interesting to see a Wyrdboy leader who worshipped Tzeentch, a Mad Dok leader who worshipped Nergal, and a military leader each whose groups worshipped Khorne (obviously) and Slaanesh (revelling in the sensations of slaughter and carnage)
It's pretty hard to be tempted by chaos when your greatest fucking desire is to plant your axe in some ones face

A very extremely awesome video as always 40k Theories. And the chaos gods have a hugely amounts of power to make great numbers of daemons. And I also believe that the chaos gods may have thousands of daemon princes each.
The only thing more terrifying to fight in this universe than a ork would be a ork that worships chaos like that’s just a hole new level of hell that even the orks don’t know exist
But what about alternate realities "bleeding" into the 40k one, different versions of legions showing up and such, has that officialy happened in the lore?
i think the "Waaagh Field" might play a role in daemon possessions as the few examples seen were warbosses but we dont now WHEN the possession happened - they may have been a runt/outcast and encounter the Daemon when they were alone and used the new found power climb the ranks, perhaps each ork joined into the "waaagh Field" strengthens the resistance of each of them like an imperial psychic choir

I think with all the warp stroms and the rift splitting the galaxy, there could possibly be a large number of worlds with orks on them that cant just leave and are bascily stuck there to either mutate into something else or fall to the clutches of one of the gods.
