      Yes, You must use the Google Home App to setup the device and that will force you to login to a google account. You could always make a random Google account just for the Google Home App setup. Once the thermostat is setup, you can control it like a normal thermostat and would not need the account or app anymore.

    Does this Thermastat have a adjustable Differential in Temp? Say I set it for 70 degrees, and it heats up to 70 degrees, and I can adjust it to come back on if it drops to like 68 or 67 degrees. I dont want one that is +1- degree differential. need at least 2 or 3 degrees Difference.. If only 1 degree Differential. It will go off and come back on in just a few mins. runs too much at 1 degree. Thanks

    • @BigCVlogs
      @BigCVlogs  Před 2 lety +1

      Yeah, in the settings you can set it to cut on and off at certain temps it you can't directly control the differential. If it was 70 in your house and you set it to 67, it would not cut on again till the thermostat got to 67.

    Here is a question, why doesnt NEST have control over HRV? These are mandatory on all newer homes over the past decade. Its one of the reasons why i cant use nest thermostat. Also, why must the system mode be on 'heat or cool' in order to just turn on the fan?

Now I changed the wireless password and the nightmare happened again. 2 hours trying to just change the wifi and nothing yet.
