Dunno about the grafted styled enemies but what I would like to see in a future DLC or something, what I hope to see - is a bit more about Malenia & Miquella.

Both are actually some of the best designs, and I do think grafted enemies are so cool. But I'd say Godrick wins by his voice.

We didn’t get enough grafted enemies in the game. We could’ve had shit ranging from guys with extra arms like the 4 armed manserpents from DS1 all the way to monstrosities reminiscent of things like the Nuckelavee and the hecatoncheires.

This is why I want a dlc where we help Godfrey fight a big boss, like imagine helping him fight Placidusax and he has a grab attack where he just goes ham on one of his heads and rips it off, that would be bonkers
the bodyslam grab should be edited so that it does the same damage as it actually would, so that it's not just a wasted move by the npc

The irony of the intro is Godrick is 100% a Godfrey fan and does everything he can to mimic him. You can even find paintings of Godfrey all over his castle.

Godfrey is cool, especially the way Serosh echoes all his motions, but nothing else in the game made me react so viscerally as seeing the gross, obscene, grotesque monstrosity that Godrick made of himself in pursuit of power.

That's true. I think in terms of design and the whole character idea, godrick is perfect. He clearly wants to be like godfrey, but takes the most obscene, bizarre and unhonorable path to do so. Also, the way he talks and laughs perfectly shows how crazy he is, and the way he walks shows how that's not his true body,I love that kind of stuff.

I'm sorry but that's fucking child's play compared to the Fire Giant's phase transition cutscene, which was horrifying and had me looking away IRL, Godrick I could see in Bloodborne given Ludwig's design, but what the Fire Giant does is something else entirely.
Tbh I’d like to see all six demigods fight one another. Godrick, Radahn, Rykard, Morgott, Malenia, and Mohg. I think the idealistic arena would be Radahn’s since it’s so open.

People are misinterpreting why others are upset. It’s fine Godrick got the buff but he has more than double Godfrey’s health and virtually the same damage output. That doesn’t make sense. They should have either had the same health or give Godrick like 35k not 46k, that’s insane. Elden Beast and Radagon combined have almost 10k less heath than that. I’m shocked Godfrey won one at all with such stacked odds.
Rykard has the most health of all bosses , I beat him with my blasphemous blade and it took lot of time to kill him. Then searched and he has like 60k hp, while even Elden beast has less hp than rykard

This video literally proves that Godfrey has a much higher damage output, since he’s able to do almost 40k damage in the time that godrick does only 20k damage. If you give godrick any less health it’s not even close and the video would just be boring
@@lipiningole1381 along with the comments above about the serpent hunter also using the blasphemous blade on rykard is like using marikas hammer or sacred relic sword on radagon/elden beast these bosses (rennala as well) have high resistance to their weapons typing 😂
The problem here, aside from the RANDOM HEALTH BUFF is that a whole chunk of Hoarah Loux's moveset is based around grabs, grabbing the tarnished player and doing all sorts of devastating stuff. But against another boss, that part of his moveset is entirely invalidated. So it already seems quite unfair to me, and then they gave Godrick a ridiculous health buff. Like... it feels so stacked.

the reason why godrick was given so much health is because hes easily stance broken, if he had the same health or less there would be no contest because hes made for low level players thus relatively easy to stance break. its common sense really that he'll need to ve able to tank hits in order for him to stand a chance

Battle was ghastly shifted in Godrick's favor since most of Godfrey's grab attacks don't work against inhuman bosses, and Godrick here have like, 7 times his NG HP and like twice of Godfrey's own.

@@irtendor5885 really?cause as far as i saw in the Fight damage was not an issue on Godrick part in fact he did rather well hit surprisingly hard actually.
His moveset is also at least till second phase far faster and Godfrey holds more delays in his attacks.
Not to mention that one of his movesets straight up doesnt work

Honestly they did Godrick dirty by making him an early game boss. He reminds me of Allant in a way due to his area of the map and some of his abilities. Honestly I think Stormviel Castle was a nod to Boletaria's Castle in a sense. But honestly Godrick was such an awesome battle and I only wish it lasted longer. He was definately the hurdle you had to jump in order to be ready for the rest of the game but they definately did my boy dirty by not giving him enough HP.
I guess I'm just a sucker for a good villain and a creative boss battle. Plus that theme is just 11/10.

@@virael3801 To an extent yes. But with all the grafting and things he had dedicated to that experimental practice, it would have been interesting to see him attempt to use parts of the golden order and the glintstone sorceries to attempt to make himself greater than before. His nature was that of a "win at all costs no matter how underhanded" type deal. Which is why he turned to grafting in the first place. So I think honestly they could have had him as a mid-game boss if left un-checked by the player if they for instance left Limgrave and took out Radahn or The Queen of the Full Moon first only for Godrick to move in and take what he could from them to make his own territory and power greater as he has been known to do.
There is also the fact you find grafted enemies everywhere even up to the Haligtree where the royal revenants are. So information would naturally come back to him at some point. Which then would prompt him to attempt to expand imo.
In short, I think personally they should have had Godrick in particular act as a expansionist type enemy that moves around. Similar to Morgott but the longer you ignore him, the more he picks up from the fall of the other demi-gods. This would be an interesting concept and for his character it would be something he'd do imo. Especially since he suffers from little man syndrome.
However, doing what they did with him did make sense as well.
@@crackheadwizardmanthethird6461 The whole expansionist concept is interesting but it's something that's out of From's field (for now at least), all bosses are stagnant and the one's with moving encounters are scripted (i.e. Midir). I definitely would love to see them implement this in future games if they're gonna keep going with the open-world route.
@@virael3801 I think they could do it but the cost of doing so and programming godrick to move like NPC questlines do would be very, very costly and time consuming.
So for now its definately improbable due to time, costs and programming limits but I do think they could accomplish it if they really wanted to program him like Midir or like a moving NPC.
But yes I agree. Hopefully we see something like this in the future though, it would be one hell of an interesting game-play experience.
@@crackheadwizardmanthethird6461 Now that I think about it, while Godrick is the weakest of the demi-gods, he HAS the most potential thanks to grafting. Imagine if, for some reason, we don't kill him after we beat him ( let's say he asks us to spare his life ) and he starts following us, collecting parts from the corpses of those we beat. Imagine him getting his hands on the corpses of the likes of Radahn, Mohg, Morgott, Malenia, Rykard, the dragons, etc.

I like how you can see that Godrick, despite being a grafted Nightmare and the weakling of the family, he is still a competent fighter. Nowhere near other demigods such as Malenia, Morgott or Godfrey (yes, godfrey is a demigod, stated in Godricks' rune) but still way above any soldier or knight. You can see in his moves that he is a warrior, and he knows how to use his weapons and body to strike fast and hard!
The banished knights in castle sol are stronger.

The golden lineage is so complicated… we know it started out with Godwyn, Morgott, and Mohg. Then there’s the talk of the seven (now soulless) demigods said to have been slayed along with Godwyn on the Night of the Black Knives. Then there’s Godefroy, then Godrick, and maybe the Grafted Scions. And cut dialogue shows that Gostoc is meant to be the son of Godrick.

If Godrick had the guidance of grace like us, he could’ve become OP as shit because he would’ve been able to level up with runes AND graft the body parts of his enemies to him. Imagine what could’ve done had he been able to level up and graft himself to Radahn for example.

Godfrey's second phase is sooooooo badass. I love the idea of a bloodlusted warrior casting aside his armor and weapon to fight you bare handed. When he power bombed me the first time I was giddy with laughter. Such a cool fight.

Why give so much HP to a looney like Godrick. I feel like compared to Godfrey he just doesnt deserve that much at all.
The whole purpose of health buffs or any buffs in general is to give the weaker boss/npc a winning chance, specially if the fight is between an early game npc againts an endgame npc. Otherwise, it will be a one sided, predictable outcome boring battle.

If we're asking the question of who is more powerful, then buffing one to end game stats and giving them twice as much health as their opponent, we're not asking the question, we're seeing how much we have to buff one to get it to anywhere near the same level of power. Heck, if I buff up Soldier of Godrick enough, he'll beat Godfrey. Now, that's a cool question to ask, "How strong do you have to make Soldier of Godrick before he can beat Godfrey?", but that is way different than asking, "Is Soldier of Godrick stronger than Godfrey?"
You know everyone is going to answer Godfrey in this case because that's true and then you buff him enough that he's going to win as a way to get views. It's a little dishonest, I think.

This fight seems way unfair. Godrick has double the health of Godfrey and is canonically weaker than any other shardbearer, let alone the Elden Lord. Morgott would kick Godrick's ass and Godfrey could do the same to Morgott but respects his death in his opening cutscene. It seems like a jump to say that Godfrey has more health than any other boss in the game...

Really, the amount of effort that went into spicing up a fairly bland fight and making it actually entertaining speaks volumes of how well made the video is. From stuff like editing Godrick to insult Godfrey at the very beginning to making the phase change cutscenes flow really well, this is an awesome video. Well done!

I think increasing the sound effect or dereasing the music will make this better.
Problem is that Hoarah Loux is made with a moveset specifically to fight a player, meaning that most of his attacks do nothing to other bosses, he's at a major disadvantage here
Not to mention having less than half of the HP of Godrick here, they did our boi Godfrey dirty

That beginning intro is so badass.
Godrick has double the health of godfrey, significantly buffed damage and godfrey is handicapped by being unable to use his most damaging grab attacks, and godrick still barely won. I'd say that this is lore accurate.
In the description, you stated how you gave Godrick the area scaling of Lenydell. Would it be possible to make a video detailing the area scaling of each region in the Lands Between and base values for certain enemies? It would be interesting to know how beefed up or nerfed some of the mobs are in Elden Ring.

It's weird that Godrick is bigger that Godfrey. Godfrey seems so towering and menacing while Godrick makes me think he's much smaller than he actually is.

The problem of this fight is that Godfrey's second phase is meant for grabbing atacks, because of that most his damage output is nerfed; even though he could have won if it was not for Godrick's buffed health.
Awesome.
Boosting Godrick's hp to that extent doesn't tell us anything, in fact it just gives off the impression that Godrick is stronger than he really is.
Any enemy in the game can have their stats altered to be able to last and at least put up a fight, maybe even win a couple out of every 10 rounds against any boss in the game.
But at that point it's not a showcase of one boss versus another boss, because they aren't the same boss/enemy that we as players actually face.
They're a modded version that has enough stats to put up an entertaining enough fight.
But that doesn't tell anyone anything, in fact it probably just does more harm than good, because some people are stupid enough to end up thinking Godrick is almost as hard or just as hard as Godfrey since he put up such a good fight against him.
Bosses are placed where they are in the game for a reason, they have the stats they have for a reason.
Godrick is weak.
That is supported in the lore.
In the gameplay.
And in the game's design.

I must say, I really like how Godfrey's death quote is him giving kind and motivational words to the Tarnished. It makes it seem as if Godfrey, now unable to be his own descendent, is trying to give determination to the Player Character. Especially since Godrick's victory quote is one that diminishes the efforts of the Tarnished.

Godfrey/Hoarah Loux is my favorite boss in this game, and even on par with Slave Knight Gael as my favorite boss made by From Software. What a truly iconic boss fight against such a powerful legend. At least he got one win in, sucks that Godrick got an obscene health boost. Probably could have shaved it by at least 8k?
Hoarah loux not being able to use his grabs is a big nerf to him, I mean that's most of his gimmick for phase 2

Yes for more grafted enemies in the game, and all bosses vs soldier of godrick (you can buff them/nerf him as much as you want until they are able to chip at least 10% of his healthbar before getting killed)

Assuming you haven't done it (and assuming it's even possible without the game crashing) I would love to see a big free-for-all of all the remembrance bosses out in the dessert or something.
Preferably with base NG health and damage at the start and giving the losers the NG+ treatment with each subsequent round.

Godrick's poise is clearly early game. I wish there was a way to boost his poise alongside his health
