Great to see the Marantz PM10 being recognised on this list. I have one along with the SA10 SACD Player and a pair of ATC SM40 speakers. I LOVE the sound and it's a solid piece of beautiful product design.
CXA81 and KEF Q350s = an absolutely gorgeous pairing…best I’ve had and perhaps my end game. A lot of audiophiles tend to always chase ever improved hifi systems or marginal upgrades to the one they’ve got. I’m kind of the opposite - I find one that really speaks to me and remain satisfied with it for decades. It was the same for my Senn HD600 headphones.

Yeah, I just picked up an Arcam SA20 for a criminal £400 used, it is an amazing thing, the resolution from the class A at lower volumes has completely transformed my Wharfedale Evo 4.2's weakness in that area, and it's sheer power and control at higher volumes is awesome. Love to try an SA30 one day

Most are Class D of course, heatless light but mADE BY MATTEL! Class H is the bomb! Your never going to hear the difference with 32-bit to 24-bit! If you do your a freak of nature with big EARS! All this digital crap in a final output! The recording makes all the difference wether you have a high digital sample rate or NOT! CLASS H is my choice.. The older TECHNIQUES class H amps. are a great choice..
No, not necessarily, you can "attack" a power amp directly with the output of your CD player, if it is variable, or a DAC with volume, because with 2V output, the preamp is not really essential ! 😉

They're all Integrated Amplifiers, not Amplifiers because an Amplifier needs a pre-amp in order to operate.

These are hardly the "best". look at integrated amps from Simaudio, NAD, Ayre, T& A, Pass Labs, Dan D'Agostino etc etc
I'm sure the Mcintosh would give all those companies you mentioned a good slapping & still cheaper than Dan Agostino.
. . . and Nagra, Naim, Burmester, Linn, Bel Canto, Boulder, Esoteric Audio Research, Gold Note, Croft, and so on and so forth.
