For the record.. The only reason why John didn't make it in America is because he chose to stay in Australia, and not move to America with his family.. After 'Whispering Jack' John was offered to move to America and be marketed over there, but he said he wasn't willing to put him and his family through that sort of stress... It is a pity, because then John would've been on a world scale, as he deserves to be... The main thing is, that we think of him as world class...
I heard a cover of this song done by Annie Lennox a few years ago and was horrified, not only because she did such an awful job of it but also because this song has such a special meaning for me. Thank God the one guy who could do it properly chose to do it. This is awesome.

Oh yes, he's had a wonderful life, a happy family life, a stable marriage (well done the both of you) , he just loves singing, he's got great natural charm and a great sense of humour, he loves his fans - just watch him interact with his audiences.
