To open the controller easier pop up both sides slightly amd grip both sides and use your thumbs to push both sides up. Otherwise youll keep reclipping the controller on one side
i kept accidently putting my finger on the remap sensor so i just cut it off and you can just hold L1+R1+downDpad+X and it works to remap without being able to hit the sensor
Hi, in the back of the co controller bulky since there is another element like this plate? Or its the same feeling but has extra holes in it for buttons?
I just got my kit in and made my install video. What an improvement over the first version. However I still don't like the touch pad for remapping as I like to place my controller on my leg, which puts it into remap mode. Great review.
@@OkiDingo Me to, I'm really not a fan of the touch pad at all, far to easy to press. I'm currently waiting on them digital trigger mod kit to be sent out from eXtremerate, cant wait to try that out 😁
Craig's Channel - ahhhh, the “clicky” trigger mod, looks neat. I’m waiting for the “Decade” PS4 tournament controller. eXtremeRate is making some really nice stuff. I have reviewed a couple of their items and have a bunch more to go.

I'm trying to figure out if I got a defective kit. Every time I plug the provided ribbon into the Dawn 2.0 board, my L2 trigger activates continuously. As soon as i unplug that ribbon (with the controller opened up) it stops and the controller acts as stock. I haven't been able to get into the programming mode either... any ideas?
I don't have this version I have the original 4 button, but this may have been better for me since I removed the 2 buttons and only use the 2 lower placed ones
Thanks for the video man, I have one of these mods but it was delivered pre made and the triggers L1/R1 don't work. Is there something I need to do to program the controller. Using for Warzone, thanks in advance man.
Got it all installed works good on the PS home page, but in games the device won't respond. Tried mw2 and rdr2 both won't let you use this device to play. Just like the cronus zen is.

I was wondering if when you don't have the buttons on the back remapped to a regular button, if they still send out a single. For example, if there is a game that you can set moves to certain buttons, will those buttons be registered as their own new buttons, or will they only work in game if they have been remapped to other buttons on the controller?
Does anybody know if L3 and R3 are still going to work like regular without the soldering? I don’t want to remap them I just want them to continue to work like the controller comes originally
Hi I have installed the original extremerate dawn with 4 programmable buttons and my ps4 controller randomly goes into programming mode whenever it feels like I followed the instructions everything is in place just wondering is this a possibility for installing something like this into your controller
Do you know if they sell the buttons separately? I have this same kit, but it has little flap type buttons. Did the solder to remap R3/L3 it’s crucial for shooters for mapping jump to!
I could not snap this freaking thing back together to save my life. When I put the original controller pieces back together they fit perfectly, this one just will not line up fugghhh!!!!

Do you think it would've been easier to peel the LED tape off first then stick it in place before u put the screw in on the board?

Cut the wire for the remap touch off and just use it manually

If you've got v1 have you not looked into the clicky mod kit they do? I did a video on my channel, works great with v1 combined

The original l3 and r3 buttons will work you just can’t remember the back buttons to them.
