The 'Out of This Dimension' level in Star Fox for the Super Nintendo. Played on an SNES Classic. Chapters: 00:00:00 - Asteroid Belt 00:01:16 - Out Of This Dimension
The game plays it for laughs but I personally find this stage to be very grim, what with the opening message and the fact that there's no actual way to leave this detour. Once you reach it, it's over, for the player AND for Fox, who, realistically, will be stuck there forever until time whittles him down, while Corneria is destroyed.
I've seen a few people say this idea and I think it makes sense. When fox broke the asteroid, a fragment few into his ship and cracked the glass. Following this, due to the lack of oxigen, fox begins to hallucinate this.
This game is from 1993, I was born in 1994, I played Starfox so many times in my entire childhood almost everyday, and I discovered this level thanks to the internet when I turned 18. My mind blew that day.
i read somewhere that someone has a theory about this level, being Fox's oxygen systems broke in the collision with the bird and now hes hallucinating from lack of oxygen BuT iTs JuSt A tHeOrY A g A m E t H e O r Y
@@LinLinvyno, it’s very scary. The pressure difference is sure to kill him while he is asphyxiated and dies of shock due to low oxygen if his head didnt burst
@@kg4bojHe’s actually helpless. When you get to see the map, notice that fox’s ship went forward. He didn’t turned or anything. He went straight getting lost in space.
My theory of what the hell this is is that there was no bird, after destroying the astroid a fragment hit the glass cracking it, leaving oxygen to deplete, this is fox's hallucinations as he is suffocating, fox is already dead and doesn't know it.
Glad to see more people getting to experience this stage! The hidden stages in SF1 are so neat, and as a kid I was let down a lot by the warp zones in SF64 by comparison haha
So I guess this could be interpreted as a secret third ending. I wanna know what the devs were smoking, because you'd have to be as high as Stephen King was when he wrote IT to come up with this kind of stuff.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. This is like an instant game over.

nah bro store facts took 40 benadryl
Store Facts. Good one!
Half the game's development resources went to the slot machine boss.

I mean, it kinda doesn’t too because if that happened the others would have noticed
Also even if you break the asteroid, you can still miss the bird
So this is very unlikely

@@sluminous203 And that's scarier than being stuck in a parallel dimension with no other choice but to either starve or asphyxiate, only slower?
You can hear the saints come marching in but they can’t help fox escape the out of this detention
How can they help him? The saints domain is only in this dimension

He got killed and this was his afterlife . Endless and tormenting

That level is the Bad Ending. I wonder if the moons in the background inspired the one from Zelda Majora's Mask.
RIP in peace, fawkz. KHAM ONN!!
Plot twist: Out of this Dimension is where Maverick's father from Top Gun wound up going.
Thi is actually insane
star fox 1: out of this dimension
star fox 2: none
star fox 64: asteroid dimension
There is an Star fox 2?
@@isaacvazquez627 yea sadly its cancelled (i think)
It was Uncancelled in 2017. Lol. It can be played in the snes Mini or NSO. But the game runs so bad in these emulators.
This is horrible stage.
There is no exit...
Yeah, it's the bad ending for sure.
@marineblu9584 You are the one who should not exist.

That ending was painful jeez Louise the letters suck
Like the twilight zone.
Can you avoid the bird or you’re (Or should I say Fox)…is screwed?
I think once the bird shows up (triggered by blowing up the special rocks) Fox is doomed (but not sure).
Nah, you can avoid it.
It’s harder to run into it actually
Jeeze the music is from another dimention
Fox has a gambling problem and can’t stop
