Real talent - not just lip syncing - but a voice - material - real entertainment - both sadly missed

Razor sharp wit delivered right off the cuff from Phil and delightful Doris. RIP indeed.

Such an amazing person. Colin was one of the kindest of people you could ever meet. He really looked after me when i moved up to London to go to college. I worked with him at the Wyvern Theatre for Panto but became good friends. I still think of him with real fondness and miss him. His stories were always entertaining but most of all he was a Professional. A true Professional. I hope you are at peace but thankfully there are these few Gems of him that keep me smiling and too be honest once met you couldn’t forget him. God bless xx

I was born in Eastbourne, and have been in "The Hartington", but I moved along the coast to Brighton in the early 1970's, where I used to see both Phil Starr and Dockyard Doris (amongst others) in their own shows at various venues in Brighton, until I moved to Blackpool in the early 2000's.

Just what I needed, almost fell off my chair laughing, That really took me back.
When I think of the talent (and that sort) that we travelled most weeks to venues long since gone.
Black Cap in Camden and I was too embarrassed to speak to Julian Clary who was making eyes at me - it wouldn't have lasted...
Vauxhall Tavern and Central Station where you might not find a boyfriend but some laughs and a thrill.
Many more venues to mention. Spotted Bull and Adrella - just found out she's dead...
Real talent indeed, and we all had an affinity because of the times...
