I just called them after having the constant drain problem, and it was neither of these - the tank wasn't properly pressurized, and needed to be repressurized. Fixed the problem immediately with a bike pump and a decent tire pressure gauge, they even have a video for this process up here. Very helpful tech support by phone, I'm thoroughly impressed!
Hi dear customer! Thanks for your comment!
Always check the tank pressure first. The air tank pressure should be 7-10 psi.
This video will help you know how to pressurize your tank:

RO system is making water, input water pressure 50 psi (fluctuates 40-55 psi), after tank full, tank valve (solenoid valve) shuts off, drain water continues intermittently.
new membrance 75 GPD, new ASOV, new check valve (one-way), flow restrictor 550.
How to stop the drain water?
There is drop drop leak through waste pipe after switch off RO Waterpurifier or after storage tank full. What could be the issue?
Hi Abhishek. The first thing that should be checked is the tank pressure. Please refer to this video: czcams.com/video/a6Nc9wrnqAM/video.html. If you have more questions, please give us a call at 678-261-7611 (M-F, 8:30 - 5:30 EST). We are happy to help!
Our fresh water tank is not overflowing but there is water pouring out the drain any suggestions on what could be causing this? TIA
Hi, Tia. Based on your description, this could be the normal operation of the system, or there could be some problems with the shut-off valve. @Darko Boskovski Did replacing the automatic stop valve fix your problem?
@@samchop1998 did you solve your issue? I’m having the constant draining issue even after replacing the aso. 🤔
@@justinm8114 Nope, I had to return the system. I think I got a defective tank, but the seller would rather have me return the system than sending me a new tank
For Check Valve test, I don't know how the water can be "continuously draining" if you have shut off the water supply. Aside from that, my tank has the right pressure but it's empty.

Hello I just installed my 3 rd unit. I always fill and empty the tank a few times. This time I cant figure out why the water will not run out when the new tank seems empty. Usually after 10 min or so constantly running my other tanks empty. I filled this unit for the first time seen and heard it all pressurize. I want to empty it a few times before using but This unit never runs out of water or pressure after 25 min. I have checked everything what am i missing?. Why would I not be able to empty this tank and loss all water out of the faucet like normal?
Hi Rob. It sounds like you are experiencing difficulty emptying the tank on your newly installed iSpring system. Here are a few things to check:
Check that the tank is properly pressurized: Make sure that the tank has been fully pressurized and is not leaking. If the tank is not pressurized, it may not be able to push water out of the faucet.
Check the shut-off valve: Make sure the shut-off valve is fully open to allow water to flow through the system. If the valve is partially closed, it could be restricting water flow and preventing the tank from emptying.
Check for clogs: Make sure the system is free of any clogs or blockages that could be preventing water from flowing properly.
If you have checked these things and are still experiencing issues, please call us at 678-261-7611 (M-F, 8:30 - 5:30 EST) and we can provide further assistance.
@@iSpringWaterSystems Tank pressure is 9 psi out of the box and empty of all water. Do we want 40 psi empty or when its full of water?
@@robdylan2541 Hi Rob. The 40 psi should be the minimum incoming water pressure, not tank pressure. 9 psi of tank pressure is within normal range.
If the membrane is bad or hasn't been replaced in a while will it continually drain? Mine drains all the time, but it quits when I close the valve at the tank. If I open the tank valve back up it won't start draining until I demand more water from the RO faucet.
Have the same issue. How you fixed yours?
@@peterdovjenco4127 I replaced the membrane. It hadn't been replaced for several years so 8t was due regardless. Fortunately it fixed the issue.
Changes all filters but RO, then RO came 2 days later, after changing that, NO water in tank, and it will not refill at all! Please help
Hi there. Please call us at 678-261-7611 (M-F, 8:30 - 5:30 EST). We will help to troubleshoot there.
When the drain line is constantly running, and it drains the tank how I supposed to test the check valve. That's like telling me to empty the barn then go in to get a horse to ride. Doesn't make sense.
Hi there. The way that we test the check valve is to turn off the water supply to the RO system at the feed water adapter. The tank valve should be closed and the tank full of water. Remove the drain line and place in a bucket then open the tank valve. If water goes to drain then the check valve should be replaced.
I changed the automatic shut off valve and the check valve, now I draw 1 cup of water, 1 and 1/2 gallons go to waste it's like 15 time as much. Anyone no why? Please help
Hi there. Based on the information you have provided, it seems that the issue might be related to the pressure of the incoming water. When the pressure is too high, the system tends to waste more water. We recommend checking the pressure of the incoming water and ensuring that it is within 40-70psi. You may also want to consider installing a pressure regulator to regulate the pressure.
Another possible cause could be related to the membrane itself. If the membrane is clogged or damaged, it can lead to the system producing more wastewater. We suggest checking the condition of the membrane and replacing it if necessary.

Case 2: Shutoff incoming water, Open tank. Drain stops in a few minutes

Tank pressure is about 10 PSI at present. Whats the likely cause?

Ive had this system for a few months now. Why does the water smell like fish?
Hi dear customer! The smell you describe might be caused by the tank or by the Alkaline filter (in case your system has this filter)
Please, try the following steps to check:
1. Close the valve on top of the tank and open the RO faucet. The flow rate should diminish substantially.
2. Let it drip or trickle like this for 10 minutes and then sample the water.
3. If the smell goes away, the issue may be coming from the tank.
If the issue is not solved by doing this, please bypass the Alkaline Filter and check if the smell goes away.

Those pressures sound high. The 3 gallon tank mine came with needs 7-10 psi I believe. It was reading basically zero. Repressurizing to appx 9 psi fixed my problem. Looks like the iSpring folks already jumped on this, but do NOT pressurize their small tanks to 100 psi!
No real need for the check valve if the auto-shutoff valve i s working good.
This video discusses the scenario in which the draining continues after shutting off the tank’s valve.
What are the possible causes of constant water draining if draining stops 15 seconds after shutting off the tank’s valve?
Thank you!
Hi there. It's still probably the tank pressure. It does take a while before it stops. Always check tank pressure first. The video shows the other two possibilities and how to test. If it's not the tank pressure then it's the automatic shut off valve or the check valve. If there are still questions, please call us at 678-261-7611 (M-F, 8:30 - 5:30 EST). We are happy to help!
