The course looks very adrenalinous, but I would love to see 2 categories with 2 separated races. One just for fixies and one for anything goes.
Collin has a huge lead, comes across the line with one lap to go and you hear "it's anyone's race". LMAO

I loved the racing (even seeing only months after it happened), but the production was pretty bad. There were huge blind spots for the cameras, the commentators were terrible, and what the hell was that music that would just randomly play?

I would guess for better cornering. Since it’s a criterium there’s a lot of tight corners, the wide bars have extra leverage kind of like a mtb does
