We are truly blessed to have such fine tasting cigarettes available to all Americans.
I like Jack's adlibs when Mary goofs up, which is just about every show.
You guys noticed how the writers were knocking it out of the park once they began to compete with TV in 1950? I rate this as the #2 best radio episode only behind…A Day at the Races.
I hear the voice of Mrs. Davis from Our Miss Brooks
This might be the best episode they ever done! All of them were on fire.

Jack and Phils bit on the phone...Classic. Love Jack Benny!
The Max Factor letter joke destroyed me.
I have another version of this skit on a reel-to-reel tape, but the buying a car part is still basically the same. The recording on tape is from an old record (due to the typical sounds you hear on records, like scratches, skips, and so on). I didn't record the tape. Someone else did. I bought the tape from eBay, not knowing it had this very skit (or a variation of it). One thing I like about these type things, like old radio shows, is listening to a piece of history.

Lucky Strike commercials always sound like brainwashing. "you will enjoy them." "you will think they taste better."

Certainly one of the worse episodes of all time. I can't believe this was even kept. Should have been trashed decades ago. Only tbe commercials are worth hearing. Maybe a young child will be blessed enough to start smoking delicious Lucky Strike cigarettes after hearing these ads.. LSMFT.
You do realize that sarcasm doesn't work well in this medium, right?
@@howardoller443Got to practice somewhere and a tough audience can be useful. I'm not sure sarcasm/satire has ever worked well in any medium especially if it criticizes the sacred cows de jour.
That being said JP Sears is a multi-millionaire doing sarcasm on CZcams.
LSMFT😁
I wonder if they still make cartoons of cigarettes with special Christmas packaging.
@@braininavatnow9197 What are you practicing and why are you practicing it here?
@@howardoller443 compulsive self-abuse because I'm here and not somewhere else
"Why do you bang your head against the wall?"
Because it feels good when I stop.
"Why that particular wall?"
Because it was the one looming in front of me at the time.
I have to leave... I just got a fresh pack of Lucky Strike cigarettes that I need to consume.
