- Forgive me for my awful voice acting. I wanted the bug to have an accent... I do not have that accent. Originally, I just wanted to make a bug character, but then I thought... "hmm, he looks like he would be at home on a tv show," and then made this whole little animated sequence to fit. Horatio isn't the best at delivering a positive message, but he means well.

Tonight, I just had the closing performance of the first show I ever wrote. It took me years and it really means a lot to me, so for it to be over is weird and sad and surreal and a whole lot of other things. Mostly I was starting to feel alone, but this has helped in a weird way. Thank you!

I was genuinely having a bad day today. It got better once I came back home to my family, but it was still one of the worst days I'd had in a while. I was tearing myself apart over my faults, and any time I tried to count my blessings or think about all the good things I'd done, I'd just ruin it myself by thinking I still wasn't good enough or interpreting everyone's actions as being purely against me. Once I returned to my family, I felt way better, but the feelings still lingered. I know they won't go away permanently. But I also know that they will never stay around permanently.
We're all in a crummy endless void, but there's always that cozy corner we can come back to.

Honestly you still did pretty well on acting an accent, I definitely see the attempt of the whole sing-songy accent you'll see in Ireland (republic, not northern.) However thought it was funny to also see the breathiness you'd see in Scotland. Honestly the part that surprises me most is that you managed to speak in a lower town of voice, meanwhile most (unprofessional) people acting an accent would talk far too loudly, which if you're talking Scottish or Northern Ireland, it might not be that noticeable, but it's DEFINITELY noticeable for Republic of Ireland. So kudos to you for that! Don't really see too many people who are able to soften it down and make it sound right.
Someone give him some snacks and some new books to read! What a lil guy!

What makes this so profound is that it speaks to life in general, rather than a specific individual, allowing this to relate to _anyone_ . A person can relate to a tiny clay bug, not because they are tiny clay bugs themselves, but because the tiny clay bug speaks about the life experiences we all go through.
This is what hollywood and other creatives fail to recognize. It's not inserting a human or human-like figure into a world of animals and aliens, it's not about skin color or personal politocal preference, it's about the things that _make us human:_ RAW EMOTION. The trials, the tribulations, the power to overcome it all, the lessons we learn and the friends we make along the way.
That's why I'm a fan of them man
