I miss Heath Ledger so much. the thing with Ennis is he's one of those people who feels so deeply that he doesn't allow himself to feel his emotions at full force all the time or he would probably explode. Heath played that role so well! you can really see it in that scene after he and Jack parted ways for the first time; he wasn't sick (at least not physically) he was just super upset and he finally let his emotions out to the point where he felt sick. if you think you can handle it, I'd recommend reading the short story. they did a great job adapting it into a movie and really capturing the heart of the characters on screen. thanks for this fantastic reaction and happy pride! 🏳️🌈❤️
That's what I thought. He feels for Jack, but knows society there won't accept their relationship.
When you consider that he was also the Joker and in 10 Things I Hate About You, and think of the variety in those roles, nobody can deny he was one of the greats!
Rewatched this recently and I just noticed when they first left brokeback ennis said he can't believe he left his shirt up there. But really Jack took it to have a peice of him. Then that last scene of ennis' shirt over Jack's just killed me.
I was so numb when he died like I couldn't process it I didn't even feel bad about it until he went to visit his parents to ask if he could scatter his ashes at the mountains and I just lost it at that point.
When I saw this show I didn't know about the passing of Heath or the hate it got after /back then, it's just more heartbreaking to know that he never got to see how times have changed and the success and inspiration this movie has become to our community
The first 40 minutes of this movie are so heartwarming that It just makes the rest of the story so much tragic.
I was still grieving a year later when I went with new friends to see this movie. It was so heartbreaking that I couldn't even speak for a good 20 minutes. The short story is heartbreaking too, and incredibly insightful. The short story focuses only on the two men, with little deviation for the wives. Whole scenes for the movie were written on single--sentence references in the short story. It's an amazing adaptation where they didn't trim things out, but instead added more.
Jessie 30 seconds away from watching Jack get turned inside out: “wait are they going to kiss?!” 😂❤
Brokeback Mountain won three Oscars for Ang Lee as Director, Larry McMurtry and Diana Ossana’s best Adapted Screenplay and for Best Score for Gustavo Santaolalla’s hauntingly beautiful music!
Yes, and 8 nominations.
The guitar music and the beautiful mountain scenery are both awesome.
I held it together until Ennis said Jack I swear at the end. Then all hell broke loose with my tears. Such a beautiful movie.
I don't know if it's the saddest love story ever (that's a bold claim no matter how you slice it), but when I got to the end of this movie, and I wasn't expecting it, as invested as I was, but when he opened that dresser and looked at the two shirts and that music started playing, I cried my darn eyes out.
I can't stand the ignorance of people who pass this off as the "gay cowboy movie."
.
It's clearly the "gay *shepherd* movie."
Finally!!! Someone's reacted to this movie. Will watch on my way home ☺️
Great reaction! The ending scene always drives me to tears, all he has left of Jack is his jacket.
Jesse no not Broke Back Mountain, please just give me a break from the tear’s 😭 please 😭😭😭😭
This movie was released on December 9th 2005.
I love this movie, the best romantic movie ever, very underrated, great reaction!
It's not underrated
Cute reaction. Story, I met Anne Hathaway at a wedding and she was super sweet and fun! There was a drag performance and she was so into it!
I highly, *highly* recommend “God’s Own Country.” It has echos of Brokeback but with a far less depressing story. Even if you don’t react to it, it’s a real must watch.
I can't get enough of these losers they're so iconic ❤
New-ish subscriber here. I just wanted to say I like your videos of what I seen so far. :) Keep it up! :)
This movie BROKE my heart when I first watched it. 💔 I felt so BAD for the guys. And their wives. It was just a all around shitty situation. Especially back in the 60's where you had to hide or risk being killed for just being yourself. :( I felt REALLY awful for Ennis specifically, being shown a dead body at such a young age is so traumatizing. For anyone really young or old. Fuck his dad for messing him up like that. 🖕
I miss Heath Ledger so much. 🥺😢 He was such an INCREDIBLE actor! Taken too soon. 💔
Jake Gyllenhal was AMAZING in this too. I also enjoyed Michelle Williams and Anne Hathaway's performance as well. A really solid sad but important film. I love it so much. ❤
17:00 I hate such ppl I don't know how often such evil persons be it woman, men, trans or whatever destroyed the love I could have. I really don't get why, why ppl get pleasure to destroy the most beautiful thing humans can have. Makes me really aggressive to just see that scene.
Please react to "God's Own Country" i just watched it today and it might be now my most favourite gay film of all time.
I don't see anyone talking about this movie so seeing a comemnt about it made me so shocked
Love that movie. Came out the same year CALL ME BY YOUR NAME and I thought GOC deserved more accolades
You cut out some of the best stuff from when he meets Jack's parents.. damn near all the stuff
kinda sad how jack died like that’s fucked up
The movie is so emotional
Ang Lee did a film over a decade earlier called The Wedding Banquet, i extremely enjoyed it more than this one comparatively speaking
The best for me legend movie
I miss Heath Ledger so much
He's sick because he's in love and confused
More like Broken heart Mountain. I cry every time
Actually 2005
Thanks for the correction hun 💕
I believe it was first screened at Venice Film Festival Sept. 2005. Then a limited U.S. release Dec. 2005 before its major U.S. release Jan. 2006.
They're each other's first aid kit don't you get it
Great reaction. But zu our AC is so loud🥲
Where have you bean? Hahaha!!!
This movie should be re titled, "Bareback Mountain..."
I'm sorry, I love your content. But I had to dip because of the audio. It was like trying to hear over a loud, broken fan.
I apologize so much I live in a part of cali where there’s pure desert so it’s blazing hot in my room 😭 I’m tryna invest in a better microphone again I’m so sorry
That's a real gay man that's how gays should be men just like that
Yeah
Well get your purse and put your head in the purse when something bad Comes Honey
