No over the top soliloquys; no faker than fake explosions, Gunfire sounds authentic, full of poignant moments, but most of all, actually captures the stoicism which soldiers are expected to have under duress & stresses of combat. When a grief stricken Captain Saket yells at Romilla Dutta about "Aman & Shanti".. that scene stings like a wasp. One of the finest army movies to have ever come out of Bollywood.

How is there an Operation Vijay (Kargil war) service ribbon on Lt. Karan Shergil even before Kargil war has started?🤔
Even i was thinking the same ........its a mistake from director side
At the time when this movie was made, bollywood used to attach UP police shoulder patches to army uniforms. The fact that they got a ribbon wrong and a number plate in the first sequence when hrithik goes to the border post for the first time (the gypsy’s plate bore the number 2000 pre kargil 99) is still a minor error.
