MIELE G7392SCVi: Installation and Test "Auto" Wash

  • Installation of Miele G7392SCVi dishwasher with Autodos and Wifi - installation instructions are a little difficult to decipher (for a novice like me!) - and a test run of the "Auto" programme which Miele recommend using for most scenarios as it adjusts automatically to the load and dirt levels - it even adjusts the amount of Autodos detergent apparently. I'm really pleased with the dishwasher so far. Let me know if you'd like to see any more of it!

    Hello from Germany! I'm very glad to see that you bought a Miele appliance, because I'm a real fan of the brand (I have a vacuum cleaner, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer and refrigerator from Miele - and an old bike from the 50s) and I would say that it's the best brand for household appliances in Germany, if not worldwide. The professional appliances are used for example in the German military and in hospitals, for yachts and ships there is even a Maritim series. Okay, a lot of blah, sorry! Miele used to build machines to make butter, then they converted the technology to wash laundry.
    My friends, call me a dishwasher Nazi (is meant nicely and okay in Germany among friends) because I do always load my machine away as accurate as possible and like to give others tips. Here are a few for you:
    - even if it's boring, take the time and read the manual once
    - roughly you could load 25% more by following the examples
    - you should put the cutlery pieces the other way round, then there is still room in the middle for e.g. cooking spoons, big knives etc.
    - since I don't know if my tips won't just annoy you, just one more thing:
    - my machine still looks like new after a good 15 years and still works like the first day. Important: Whether you use Auto-Dos or not ALWAYS use salt and rinse aid and program the water hardness once! Add salt only before starting the program or let the pre-rinse run afterwards (otherwise risk of rust!). Except for special loads, use the economy program (even if it runs for a long time) and the intensive program once a month.
    Okay, high praise for the installation, which was perfect. In Germany, the kitchen cabinets already have gaps, so you do not have to drill.
    If you (or others) still have questions, I'm happy to answer them!
    Best regards from Hamburg

      Hi! Thanks for your tips. I’m hoping to get a Miele oven and hob. For fridge I plan to get a Leibherr as I think this is who makes them for Miele anyway? So, the cutlery must be with the handles facing outward? I have read the manual more than once 😁

    Thanks for taking the time to lead us through Miele’s lazy ikea style instructions. I’ve seen others drilling two smaller holes side by side to get the valve through. Professional job though! Our budget didn’t stretch to the 7 series, we have the 5260 which is a bit more basic but cleans really well. Cheers!

    I saw a Q&A with a Miele rep recently and he mentioned they switched the top two wash arms to plastic so if they hit a piece of stemware there's less of a chance of it breaking. He also mentioned the plastic they use is rated to last between 20-30 years. I'm not sure on the bottom spray arm though :/
    Congratulations on your purchase! That is the exact model I really want to grab!

    • @sabistar44
      @sabistar44  Před 5 měsíci +1

      I only have a cold water supply option! Here in the UK hot supply is very rare for dishwashers/washing machines. I also have instant hot water from a combi-boiler; not a tank of hot water, so I’d be using gas every time the dishwasher filled. The heat accumulator in this dishwasher warms a tank of water for the rinse during the cycle anyhow. It’s very economical!
