Here in Hawai, we use water straight from the hose. I don't do anything special to the water. Take care.

Hey, Congrats! That looks fantastic! You can also add shade cloth or shade paint if the tint on the glass is not adequate. I have to look for that floating plastic plant mat that you have. I'm having a terrible time getting any fry out of my Gambusia rhizophorae. They are monstrous fry eaters🤨. Thanks for the Hawaii fix can you do a tide pool shot next time?

Do you put heaters for them in cold weather ? And do you use filters or just change water if you just change water every how long to you change it ? And thank you!
Hello. It is warm 12 months of the year in Hawaii. Summers can get to 90 degree Fahrenheit (32 Celsius). Winters can get to 55 degree Fahrenheit (13 Celsius). I use sponge filters and do 20% water changes every week or two. Take care.

I am interested in breed guppy but my water is soft, is good for discus fish as example, do you think this could be a problem for the guppy?
it turned out so well and made the yard look quite bigger , btw do you raise your guppies straight at the 27gal black tubs once a batch is born or do you raise them somewhere else and wait till they are bigger? , planning to get back in the hobby after a year being so busy
Hello. I raise the babies in 10 gallon aquarium until I can seperate them between male and females. I put the males in a 27 gallon tub and the females in another 27 gallon tub. Hope you can get back into it. Take care.

i have recently started a outdoor farm and my water has gone from clear to green and now brown is this normal for the first few weeks
Hello. Turning green is common. Not sure about brown. If you can, put some plants in there. Let the algae grow on the walls. I feel plants and algae do help with clearing up the water. Good luck.

Hello. I harvest the fry and put them in the grey tubs on the lower row. When they are old enough, I separate the males and females and put them in separate larger tubs. 😀
