    Hi everyone, Steve here. In a previous video, I showed you how to color grade images with Gradient Maps, and I covered everything you need to know to create your own custom color effects (czcams.com/video/YIJto9o8gv4/video.html). But Photoshop also includes hidden color grading presets known as the Photographic Toning presets. And in this video, I show you how to use them. You'll learn where to find these hidden presets in the latest versions of Photoshop, how to apply them to your image using a Gradient Map, and how to combine the presets with Photoshop's Blend Modes for the best results. I am obsessed with Photoshop at the minute and I love your videos. Others I have tried to watch are just too quick for me. I struggle to take things in straight away due to my illness. Your videos are superb. If there’s 3 steps then you repeat it 3 times and for me that’s priceless. I was wondering if it would be okay to ask for a video? If so I was wondering if you could build a new image using selected items or people from other images? So for instance 3 sports icons in the same place or a cow in a random place just so I could get to grips with that part of things. I’m working towards creating my own things but I’m at the very early stages. I like to call myself a pre-beginner. If not it’s cool, I love your videos and thank you for making them

    Hi Steve, I've been watching your video and really love your teaching style. I was wondering if you've done any videos on how to create a cartoon or characteracter from a phone? Or is this something you could make a video on? Including adding cartoon words and art that can be changed to cartoon in the photo?

    Hey Steve! Great tutorial. A question please: if I go to legacy swatches, I don't get no "photographic toning" group. And the other groups also don't show up when I click the dropdown in the properties panel. Any idea what's going on? I'm using Photoshop 24.0.1. on a mac. Thank you!

      @@PhotoshopEssentialsChannel It truly was helpful. It's a very nice tool to add a subtle effect to one's portraits. You explain everything with such clarity and economy of words. You must know PS quite well. Is it difficult to create one's own color gradient? For example a gradient, that would add teal to shadow areas and a kind of milky-yellowish tone in the highlight areas.

    • @PhotoshopEssentialsChannel
      @PhotoshopEssentialsChannel  Před 2 lety

      @@Daniel_Ilyich I have a separate, longer video called Color Grading Images with Gradient Maps that goes into detail on how to create and apply your own custom gradients: czcams.com/video/YIJto9o8gv4/video.html
