The musical follows the book a little bit more than the movie.In the book Michele and Jane are pretty bratty in the begining.
They learn to not be such little shits in this musical.

Honestly, I just got casted as Jane and the kid playing michael sounds like this. 😵
He was ill during this performance he was doing what any actor could do when they’re sick and still carry on with the performance.
