Watching this... got me so emotional. You know our mothers endured beating in their marriages and made it normal as the boys watched their fathers beat them. These men now know that beating women is normal. If we are to fix this we need to start from the grass root. Am so sorry for the pain. May God guide you through it all. Am so much touched and can relate

You need a professional therapist dealing with narcissists to talk to . You’re still in pain lady I feel your pain 😭😭 I dated a narcissist and it was like walking on egg shells . You literally feel lost . One second they are showering you with love the second you know you’re in pain . They literally make you look like a mad person . And most of our people can’t understand the feeling one is going through most of them mostly parents tend to blame us . Some will blame you for leaving your home . It takes a lot for some one to realize what you’re going through alot . Most parents don’t see our pain but am so happy that you choose to move out . Our African parents don’t and will never understand these narcissists . I’ve been there darling but just know you’re strong the fact that you got out of that relationship it makes me smile . You jumped out so fast some take years others die in those Marriages and no one will ever know what was going in that marriage. Am super proud of you that you ran out soo fast

Its amazing that u got the courage to walk away..many hang in there and end up dying ...I wish I can meet you
Girls here pick aleaf or two never ever ignore the red flags during dating ..and remember evaluation is always done in the board room not bed room, be open minded and look closely, don't let yo emotions drive yo body to the bedroom so fast as many open their legs and leave the brains behind...And to the parents, whoever is reading always remember this one statement, "A parent can not take u further than they went" she stayed with an abuser so she'll advise u to stay and assure u its okay he will change,,but remember, they never change that's who they are "DEVILS" if yo mom tells u to hang in there after violence,, just know she's toxic as well. I mean there's no normal person who thinks that abuse and love can co-exist. Walk away while yo soul is still intact ..it only gets worse.

I have something that I always tell everyone my friends my family and people that i always get in conversations with, if a man raise his hand against me first time it's the time I leave his ass or i might stay and commit murder and end up in jail I will plan for him because I know i can't beat him if we start flexing so take my time and plan so instead of doing that i will just live. There is no excuse for doing that even when i am the one in wrong you don't raise your hand and hit someone's child that is a no go. Never ever find excuses for an abusive person it might not be necessarily hitting you but also words can be a form of abusiveness if someone can't find away to communicate with me then I can't be such a person violence is violence it can't be in anyway justified so ladies men take note. Thank you for sharing your sorry sweetheart.

Parents, relatives and friends should stop pressuring people to get married. Marriage is not an achievement. It's better to take time and get into it prepared for the consequences. Many people die from domestic violence every day.
Families should are learn to welcome their daughters back home from failed marriages. Don't tell them to hang in there, it could be too late one day.

"Domestic Violence refers to acts of violence that occur between people who have, or have had, an intimate relationship in domestic settings. [4] These acts include physical, sexual, emotional and psychological abuse." Men also face domestic violence/abuse but they rarely report it or talk about. In this case children end up suffering the most.
