As a Senior, my wife and I were not aware of the books or the show until we came across it. They have nailed the balance between the age groups without being inappropriate for children and us adults who enjoy quality programing. Bravo and looking forward to the next season.
Underrated show, loved every bit.
The content of the book was too short to be put in an 8 episode series and Guy Burt did a marvelous job in making the series whole, adding new characters and inserting elements from the 1st book etc... it was all done in a smart way :)

Have been waiting for this series for so long. It does justice to the book series and avoids the way that the movie dropped the ball. The series brings Alex Rider onto the big screen in the way that Iron Man did the same for the MCU. The relationship between Alex and Tom is like that between Peter and Ned from the MCU and between Shazam's Billy Batson and Freddy. Brenock's performance as Tom in the series redeems him after how he betrayed Jon Snow in Game of Thrones as Olly.

I'll have my 66th birthday in a few weeks, and in the last one and a half decades the Alex Rider books were my favorite books, which I have been reading over and over again (usually in English, but I also own a copy of all books in the German version). I also like the "Stormbreaker" movie where Alex Pettyfer also did a great job of impersonating Alex Rider. And I was very sad when the Weinsteins did mix up the plot of the story and afterwards didn't promote the movie the way they had promised before, and the idea of sequels got shelved. So I'm happy that the story now comes along as a TV series. Here in Germany, the entire first season was shown in one Alex-Rider night on a public TV channel, so I invited a friend who had also read the books and we spent the night watching TV. I hope the production continues for a long time and I can see as many seasons as possible.

The applause is ... limited? It's like there's only 10 people in the audience. I would have expected more excitement for this series.
The mics don't pick up the audio for the audience, it's the same for most of the mcm panels :)

sQuibo sky is kinda like Netflix, you can watch movies and TV shows. You can also watch Pay-TV. It’s part of the Comcast Corporation since 2018. I didn’t know, that sky wasn’t an international Company. So maybe it’s just the platform where it’s released in Germany.

I loved the first season, thought it was great. I've been waiting years and years for Anthony Horowitz to do something with his books since the storm breaker movie....which leads me to my disappointment about the show. They completely ignored stormbreaker....which covers Ian's death and Alex's break into spy work. Also the Sabina bit, I totally expected her to be the initial "love" interest. If I remember the books correctly from when I was younger, Point Blanc was his second mission.
No equal time for all the guests. Mic’s weren’t working just, bad for such a good show with great actor’s.
They should have made it exactly like the book.
