Planning to consider this in the future as my network storage because I've been using the airport time capsule that has 2TB but it seems it's not enough anymore. hehe
Would it be a problem if I connect it to a smartv plus putting the password?
the interface used by seagate reminds me of window 98 era style. It is so outdated, and so cumbersome to use, with the odd setting for password etc

Hello, I have a problem and I hope you can help me. I have been calling customer care but to no avail. I don't get the actual help I needed to. I was asked to reset my password and so I did but the reset process never complete. It just says like "Resetting Password" and just below it "Do not disconnect the drive."
I waited and waited for 8hours and still it couldn't complete the reset process.
The drive is basically 2TB and I have around 700-800TB worth of files.
I just called seagate again and asked them bout my options and they were saying if I give it for the recovery drive I'll be charged between 2-5000rupees and it'll take around 50-60days.
What's your option for me?
You are unable to access the drive now? with old password?? ping me on Instagram(check video description for Instagram) and share the picture if possible I'll see what I can do..
Is password can be removable in other laptops which was not before used?
Password is not removable.. you have to reset the device or use cloud login to remove it.
I have changed the format From NTFS to exFAT but still not showing data

The hard drive has the password so it may not show up. Let me check with my TV and share an update.

I have purchased this...and getting very low speeds around 10 mbs or less...y is it so?
Usually it’s not that slow. Make sure you plug it in the USB 3.0 port on your computer.
