I live in this area. I learned to drive on that mountain. they said the gun shots are the ghost from the two men killed. you can even hear dogs barking sometimes around there.

My dad and his friends visited this place back in the 80s, they went up there around 10 PM (this was when he was just a teenager) . When they got there, the passed right through those gates. He saw gunshots on the metal doors of those small tower-like buildings. He had a whole creepy vibe from it. As he was walking through the property, he passed by a pond. It might seem like nothing, but the pond has absolutely NO life at all. There weren't any plants within a 5 foot radius of that pond, and no fish in it, not even algae. He thought that was weird, but he kept going. As he kept walking with his friends, he passed by a well. He and his friends decided it would be a good idea to pee in the well. After they did that, a home owner from nearby ended up calling the police because she heard something. When the police got there, they decided to search the property. They ended up finding my dad and they took him home. Before that though, the police searched the well that my dad urinated in, and then found bodies. I'm not sure how many but I know for sure that they found bodies. My dad is still messed up from that night and he doesn't like talking about it much.

I have been there & researched this place. The square box Adam believed to be the outhouse was not. It was the septic tank. The outhouse was the round building with the roof still intact. The other round building was the well house with the large pipe in the center.
This one feels a bit scary like The Blair Witch Project. Glad the video didn't end with a Woo being attacked and dropping down on the floor.
If the supernatural ever lets you know just how real it is you'll never question it ever again I do know this is a fact....I lived it....It's all very real.

How ironic is it that maybe this couple chose this location to feel safe because of the lifestyle they were living/or practicing and the very sanctuary that made them feel safe and isolated was the place they would tragically lose their lives in?

I had to watch this again, This November, 2016, ID Discovery Channel had this story on and a few minutes into it I was thinking ATW did a vlog on this. Crazy story! Adam's channel has sure changed over the years,still loving the video's!!!

I live in Ga . When I was a kid my dad took me and my sister and my mom to a place very similar to this , but it was in Stone Mountain . There was what look line a huge round concrete swimming pool with stairs .The house had also been burned down and the people that lived there were accused of being devil worshipers . This happened I believe in 1978 / 1979 . My father was murdered not long after that . Of course it didn't have anything to do with that place . ( At least I don't think so ) . But while we were there we all got that creepy feeling also . I've never heard of this place before . You said it was near Chattanooga , so it couldn't be the same place where I have been . As always thanks for taking me along with you on your trips to different places and interesting things I probably will not ever get to see .

As a young man living in Atlanta at the time, I remember hearing about the murders on the news. It was quite a sensational story.
So amazing how nature takes over, and such a sad story of how they were killed in their own asylum from society.😞

I've been there at least 4 times in my life, it's really close to where I live. Every single time I visited I had the same feeling as if something or someone was around. The place is haunted from what I've heard it's also cursed. Had a friend one time tell me they left with a rock or what appeared to be a some type of stone from the property and the car only rolled about 20 feet before stalling until they got rid of the stone the car wouldn't start back. This was years ago but my personal experience was a loud banging somewhere off in the distance that couldn't be explained. The area is so far off from everything nothing made since as to what we were hearing. Also another thing to add was there were once a man made pond there that was lined with nothing but Cadillac floor mats. That was back in the late 80's when I was a kid. To this day I never understood what the significance of Cadillac floor mats was for

I used to live in Chattanooga, TN from 2000-2004. Back in 2000, a group of work friends and I visited Corpsewood Manor on a Friday night in the fall. It was a lovely location and, for an off-grid house, the design was fairly ingenious for two men to have built without heavy equipment. A group of nine or so of us were out there at night and to be honest, I didn't get any sort of weird vibes or such, it was just a really tragic story bookended by a lovely home in the woods in north Georgia.
I've never experienced anything strange there either.

Charles Scudder paid a little over 10 grand for the 40 acre sperad in 1975. They moved down the following year and began building the house. Both men had their brains blown out....house was ransacked. The killers even shot their two Mastiffs. HUGE dogs.

I just saw this story about 2 nights ago on ID. HD channel and started youtubing stories on this. Can't believe a movie hasn't been made about this. I have been a subscriber for a few months now, and I just found this video. I loved it! I can't believe that I have never heard of this place before. I am going to look up some more information on it...very interesting! I also need to listen again, without watching because, I did hear a few of the voices that your other subscriber, Jeff Moore, heard. I heard one of the "kills" at the beginning, and a few other things that I need to go over again. I love anything paranormal, so thats why I can't believe that I haven't heard of this place before. Absolutely loved it!

I came from a town where certain people could do wrong all the time and get away with it. And some people who were physically or mentally handicapped were treated like dirt but never did anything wrong. The two men picked the wrong place to move to.

I've once heard of a group of people were tortured in those woods! The group of 4 or 5 were tied to and restrained to chairs that were then placed in a straight line, all facing one direction, and in front of those poor tortured souls stood a TV, a TV set atop a TV stand, and in a LOOP manor, (over and over and over again)... played THE GARBAGE PAIL KIDS movie!! Half thankfully, the group later escaped their 8 hours of terror but not before sustaining massive PTSD and sever mental anquish that made them, and only out of madness, create the band NICKELBACK! Once asked by a DR. why they decided to create this "music group", they all had the same answer, "we were tormented and tortured, and now all of you will too"!
Nah I'm just kidding this never happened.
I've never been back this far on your dailywoo but I am a subscriber.... the reason I'm watching it? A podcast I listen to- Sword & Scales- used your opening clip in the ending of the episode they were doing about the court case based on the murders that went on at the manor.

I have been there many times. I found the shells to the bullets. The guys were known to be very nice fellows. Back when they were into "devil worshipping" it was known to be a fad. They did not do anything wrong. The most they did was have wild parties and did use drugs and alcohol at the events. .They went to town only once a month. I have gone mostly at night. I will post some pics on facebook. You can see many orbs and glowing eyes as well. There was a horrid battle during the civil war in the area as well. The two murderers made friends with the two men in order to go rob them. Robbery went wrong.

Instead of reading stories about people off the Internet. Maybe you should read the book and read defiles police records. There's many people that thought the two gay guys were good people. And the two murderers after they murdered them. They went on and murdered a couple more people!! One was a lieutenant!! So you must have not read the story the true story!!
Yeah, I saw this story on the ID Channel. It was strange. Exactly, those two guys did murder someone else when they were on the run.

I saw the documentary from 1982 about this and I'm inclined to believe it for a few reasons. For one, it was still fresh in the minds of the people that lived there and attended the court hearings at that time and then there's the pictures from the investigation to back those claims. The doctor actually painted a picture of his own demise before it ever happened. The painting is almost identical to the photo taken of the body post mortem. That alone has an 'off the charts' creep factor and speaks volumes. Everyone that goes out there gives the same reported feeling of a 'heaviness' about the place in almost every video I've seen. All but one. The house itself has a strange build to it with no visible corners besides the gazebo itself which it pretty much gone now. I try to imagine what it might have been like at night there with no lights at all. The only light would be from the fireplaces and that too sets a pretty eery scene. There is an interior picture of the master bedroom with a huge hand carved bed and it looked almost..'Victorian' (?) for a lack of a better description. I wonder where that went. They apparently grew fruit trees and made various types of wines like plum. The 'chicken coop'/ guest house seems to have decayed altogether and didn't appear to have steps for its 3 floors where the murders took place. At least that's the report from the investigation. It had latter's and went straight up. In the main house, there was also a library that was reported to have contained all things occult. Almost like Alister Crowley's mansion in Scotland. Only his had modern day appliances. These were the descriptions the girl gave when asked about that night. She just happened to be on what she was intending to be a simple date night. Her date just happened to be running with the wrong crowd that night and he also didn't know what was getting ready to happen. If this is your first foray into this subject, look up that video from 1982. There's a whole story to this and, damn! - does it chill you to the bone - especially considering that there are numerous interviews from the one girl who actually witnessed the killings (besides her date, who wasn't interviewed) and those that attended the court case. If they don't know the story I don't know who does.The whole thing is just plain creepy! Still, the place is interesting in a Lovecraftian sort of way, to say the least and, as hard as it is to watch and listen to, the story is true and it did happen.

I read somewhere that to this day gun shots are heard in the manor area when there are no hunters around. Perhaps that is what you heard.

I read up on this place. Apparently the murderer was a 17 yr old kid that was forced to engage in sexual activity with the couple. He wanted to get back at them by robbing them. Although think the murder was accidental by one of the 4 teens that he asked to help him. One of the guys last words was "i asked for this". I'm Guessing one of teen talked and someone wrote a book about it. Be careful out there.
Great video Adam. Seems odd that the solid brick building would've fallen apart so badly so soon. I know many people have taken bricks but the entire place is barely there anymore.

My hometown my family lived just down the road from them when they get killed.
I have been there, it's in Chattooga County GA, closest town is Trion. It's not hard to find if you know what to look for, look for the rocks with "CW" painted on them.
