Beth Hart ist eine Naturgewalt. Die Sängerin aus Los Angeles besticht durch ihr authentisches Auftreten und eine unvergleichliche Intensität und Energie auf der Bühne. Von laut bis leise, von hart rockend bis herzzerreißend beherrscht sie die komplette Klaviatur des Blues Rock.
1972 in Los Angeles geboren, beginnt Beth Hart schon mit vier Jahren, Klavier zu spielen. Ihr Ziel: Musikerin werden. Mit ihrer markanten Röhre und ihrem Vibrato fällt sie auch an der Los Angeles High School Of Performing Arts auf, wo sie Gesang und Cello lernt. Mit einem Auftritt bei der Talent Show "Star Search" wird sie erstmals einer größeren Öffentlichkeit bekannt.
Bei der Aufnahme ihres Debütalbums "Immortal" ist Beth bereits stark alkohol- und drogenabhängig. Das zweite Studioalbum "Screamin' For My Supper" macht sie noch bekannter, sie tritt unter anderem bei David Letterman auf, wo sie ihren Hit "L.A. Song" präsentiert.
In einem Musical spielt sie Janis Joplin, eine Rolle, die ihr quasi auf den Leib geschrieben ist. Nach einigen Entziehungskuren besingt Beth Hart auf ihrem dritten Album "Leave The Light On" ihre härtesten Zeiten. In den USA wird das Album gefeiert, auch in Europa erzielt sie damit erste Erfolge. In den Folgejahren arbeitet sie unter anderem mit Slash und Joe Bonamassa und begleitet weitere Größen wie Jeff Beck und Buddy Guy. 2018 tritt Beth Hart in der Royal Albert Hall in London auf. Der beeindruckende Gig wurde auch als Konzertfilm veröffentlicht.
Die Grammy-nominierte Beth Hart hat zahlreiche sehr persönliche Alben und Cover-Alben aufgenommen (u.a. ein Tribut an Led Zeppelin) und berührt durch ihre außergewöhnliche Stimme und die Art, wie sie mit ihren psychischen Abgründen und ihrer Drogenvergangenheit umgeht.

On the one hand we have these "vocalists" who have fantastic light shows, dancers, autotunes, and are so concerned about their social media comments...then we have Beth, fantastic range vocal, honest, self-penned songs about her life, her troubles, her recovery from substance abuse....this, my friends is true MUSIC!! And speaking as a 69 year old geriatric please Beth keep doing what you're doing, this is so appreciated!...

Keep that in mind. And you know, the addiction is not the real problem. Look at the real problem, accept it, but it doesn't have to steal your soul. Don't let it beat you.
Hear hear. I think the fans who hear her the loudest are us addicts, either in recovery or still using/drinking. But I've never heard of a really, really talented musician or artist who ISN'T messed up. I'm a visual artist, and I always enjoy watching and listening to other artists in their true medium perform the shit out of things. I never was cut out for the Taylor Swifts or the Justin Biebers of the world.
Beth has been my ALL TIME favorite vocalist since she won the 1st year of Star Search way back in 93'. She was FANTASTIC then. She's even better today!

Been listening and watching her for years and every time takes my breath away. unbelievable, best female singer ever.
Man, if only her song "Badest Blues" was on here, it would have been epic. That one song put her on a par with Etta James, Ella's Fizgerald, and even Aretha Franklin, in my opinion. Beth is one of the greats among the Blues, R&B, Soul & Rock n Roll performers in history. Power, Range, Emotion, and Sex Appeal, she has it all.
I've been a fan for a long time and i still can't understand how come she is still underrated. Her voice is beyond amazing and so are all of her albums.
They did on purpose, since 2003 when she came back a lot of record deals where turned off because of the pressure for sales, and that is what make her addiction worst in the 90s so since she got sober her team has been bulding a good structure that allows her to do shows and record some albums in a pace that she can handled. It's for this reason that she can do her music and some of us see it. The pressure of the music bussiness can really take a total on some people, in her case is a pretty happy ending to get rid of that and still had a living of music.
She's one of the greatest of all time. Us who know, KNOW! 🤘

Beth Hart liefert wohl das Beste was eine Blues- und Rock-Stimme liefern kann. Eine zweite Janis Joplin. Dazu eine Buehnenpraesensz und Emotion die Sie in jeden Song haut. Habe sie 2012 das erste mal erlebt und diese Frau flashed jedesmal.
Edit: Die Musiker die mit ihr auf der Buehne stehen sind auch allererste Sahne.
Für mich so viel besser als Janis,der Vergleich steht ja schon immer im Raum.Für mich ist Beth vielschichtiger und hat auch stimmlich im Vergleich zu Janis 🙏ganz klar die Nase vorne.
