Supplemental vitamin companies have been doing whatever they want. They are not regulated or inspected. Unless they themselves hire a research company to validate their products. Majority of the time they are getting away with putting things in their products and not listing it on the label. The federal government only gets involved when something serious happens to several people. Then they investigate. Sometimes the supplements don’t have any of the ingredients listed on the bottle. So when buying supplements. Check for a USP stamp on the bottle. This indicates that it has been checked to validate it contains ingredients listed on the bottle.

If on May 22nd it is found to be in his system then he is attempting to hide something If it is not found, then protocol for that organization should be in question. These companies who manufacture and sell dietary supplements with intentional or accidental contamination of PEDs or other similar substances and not labeled for athletes and consumers to know before hand what they are about to put in their bodies need to be investigated, penalized by the FDA (if applicable) and sued in court. If this is an ongoing trend, it needs to be stopped because like you said, its going to damage the reputations of any athlete who pops dirty on an illegal substance test for competition if it's due to mislabeled supplement intake and that's not right or acceptable.

Supplemental vitamin companies have been doing whatever they want. They are not regulated or inspected. Unless they themselves hire a research company to validate their products. Majority of the time they are getting away with putting things in their products and not listing it on the label. The federal government only gets involved when something serious happens to several people. Then they investigate. Sometimes the supplements don’t have any of the ingredients listed on the bottle. So when buying supplements. Check for a USP stamp on the bottle. This indicates that it has been checked to validate it contains ingredients listed on the bottle.

It’s about the amount of it in you. Some dietary supplements are tainted with osterine it’s not enough to help you but enough for you to still fail the test. If thats the case you didn’t cheat
If it was in a supplement he took…
Once he handed over the supplements and they found that was the source, he would be cleared and the supplement(s) would subsequently be put on the banned list so that other athletes are aware.
However, since he is going the sample B route, we can conclude that it was not found in any of the supplements he listed as taking from April 3rd through April 19 and is requesting for an independent source to determine if the substance was actually in his system.
If on May 22nd it is found to be in his system then he is attempting to hide something
If it is not found, then protocol for that organization should be in question.
