You should go see the live presentation, she released just 2 days ago. I think you're going to like it more than the studio one. I love it.

This is her best song in years! It’s fantastic live, where she slows it down, and does even more scales and runs with her voice, but it’s even more emotional than the studio version as well. And the way that she ends it? Is breathtaking! That being said, this is still a phenomenal recording, and I would still suggest listening to it as well to anybody.

    She’s a phenomenal vocalist.
Honestly, exclusive of 9 notes, she doesn’t sing with the original Beethoven piece as composed. I expected to hear more but it doesn’t exist in this one. Not as I would desire.
I’m both a classical acoustic pianist of many years and have a love for Beethoven, my favorite is JS Bach-moody, but I’d have enjoyed hearing her go into the second movement of “Fur Elise”. She seems to have the vocal capacity to be capable of such.

Thank you Sir for your mindblowing réaction 😊. That make us like Faouzia more and more... As I told you in one if m'y past échange Faouzia is morroccan canadien singer piano player song writer. Plus she use quarter tone that only in oriental music exist. Her vibrato fast run and vocal range are insane. Stay safe

    DJ,
One of your best Faouzia reactions ever. I really appreciate your musical insight.
I like that she’s returned to her beloved piano. And the lyrics are 100% Faouzia. But somehow it feels like a new direction?
    The visuals are bad@ss.
But there is still so much toxic in the words and the implied relationship. The first few times I heard “Fur Elise”, I had to play “Exothermic” right after.
I don’t think she’s going to breakthrough until she can fuse everything great about what she already does with some girl boss energy. Faouzia absolutely could match Beyoncé’s “Run the World” or Sia’s “Unstoppable”. And I want to hear that from her so much!
Finally, I’d like to ask Peter Barber to react to Faouzia . What song do you think would be best?

Also Faouzia release a live performance of Fur Elise, one of her best IMHO.

WhoooHooo!! SO glad you got to react to her song!! Great reaction!! I think she did the original justice and then created something so new from it, and it all blends SO so well!! Feels like she’s brought her classical background and mixed with her cultural background with the addition (I think) of a French bistro type flare. (Just my opinion). ❤❤❤ She did a few pop/club style songs last year just before the summer, very different from her usual style, worth a look-see for her versatility.

She's Moroccan, raised in Canada since she was maybe a year old. So... first-generation Western raised in an North African culture. Definitely Arabic, and there are definite influences from her heritage all through some of her songs. I love how she blends those influences with your more traditional pop sound--and in this case classical. Brilliantly done! I love her so much.

Young reactors are calling this a sample. Is that what you'd call it?

    • @TempleMusicAcademy
      @TempleMusicAcademy  Před 2 měsíci +2

I would not because traditionally I’ve looked at samples as something of a specific recording being brought into a track. Since Beethoven has been recorded so many times, how do we know who it is that is the original performing artist etc. I’d prefer to call it a use of melody and homage in a way.

@@TempleMusicAcademy thanks. And I'm assuming it was Faouzia or Ferro or someone else who recorded the piano specifically for this track.
