Shes gotten so much more confident in herself, her vocals have evolved so much. She's learned a lot about herself over the past couple decades too. if memory serves right she mentionedabout personal growth and rediscovering herself between albums of The Open Door and then their self-titled album.
It took me less than 15 seconds of this song for me to like and favorite it! Amy Lee's voice is so beautiful, clean, and powerful! Lindsey Stirling's playing is so amazing, clear, and beautiful! Combined together it's a chills inducing, mesmerizing perfomance! This is why music needs to be kept in schools and needs to be encouraged!

Amy's voice kind of reminds me of something you'd hear from a beautiful siren. It catches your attention and lures you in, more and more. Lindsey's incredible violin skills reminds me of the sea. Sometimes the waves are big, sometimes small, but the clash between them both creates something beautiful.

I'm still kinda pinching myself that these two are officially, like, friends? It's so insane. Lindsey Stirling and Evanescence have been my favorite artists forever and they made me realize how much I love music and how powerful it is. I always thought that they would made an amazing duo, but seeing as they come from such different backgrounds, I figured there'd be no way it would actually happen. And now they've featured on each other's albums, went on tour together, and now this. Sooo cool!
I saw both of them on the same day back in July 2018. Absolutely amazing.

Their backgrounds are different, like how exactly do you mean? Because Lindsey is a youtuber? I don't see how that would make a difference, things like this do happen, not often maybe, but it happens.

Evanescence is usually dark, heavy rock that explores some really tough subjects, and Lindsey's music is much more upbeat electronic violin music with hope and light threaded through every song. They're kind of like different sides of the same coin. Totally different genres, but somehow so similar in spirit.

Saw them perform together on one of their last shows of the Evanescence/Lindsey Stirling tour. Most memorable part, when Amy Lee came out dressed as Chewbacca, taking us all for a surprise. Given Lindsey's priceless reaction, it appeared to be a prank at her expense.

I wish I would have gotten the chance to see you both live when you did your Synthesis Tour, unfortunately, that didn't happen. Even after all these years, Amy STILL gives me chills with her voice. If my scoliosis didn't affect my lungs, ribs, diaphragm, hips and knees, I would still be able to sing My Immortal just as hauntingly as Amy did.
Combined with Lindsey's violin and I get both chills and tears! Something about the violin that makes me tear up and lose it. 🥲🥲🥲

There is peanut butter and jelly. There is the sun and moon. Then there is lindsey and amy. Perfect matches do exist.
Tasting the "bitter truth" of pain and loss, and just getting through it as best as you can, does make the sweeter moments so much sweeter! Grief, mental health struggles, loss, and other pain from life do, in fact, make the beauties of life so much more stunning. I want to say a personal hank you to Lindsey and Amy for this hauntingly beautiful song, and not just because I'm one of the millions of people who suffer pain in life, but because this song gave me clarity and absolute truth during a particularly painful bout of depression. I see more clearly, through the cathartic therapy of music, that the physical and emotional pain I fight is worth getting through, no matter how hard it gets, so that the joys and moments of ecstasy and beauty can be so much more poignant and more driven. I just got clarity on how much harder I should fight. I got clarity on how the past 30 years of surviving depression have been worth it...because the "bitter truth" is hard, but I'd rather feel it with everything I have than be numb, I'd rather fight until I'm exhausted and spent, and I'd rather suffer through pain, so I can taste the sweetness of happiness, whenever and wherever I can find it, and the beautiful things in life can be so much more powerful than those who are more fortunate than myself and millions like me...because the struggle is long and arduous, but it is, ultimately, worth it. Thank you, again, Lindsey and Amy, for teaching your fans how *healing* music can be, and both doing it in such a amazing way!

Amy's the most complete and versatile female vocalist out there imo. Yes she can belt out a tune, but her warm emotive low tones are unique.
I'm looking forward to more of these, I have loved the songs so far and the chats you have with the other musicians. Also I was at that concert and it was amazing and hilarious and a great memory because it really stood out and I remember Amy struggling a little to keep herself composed enough to keep singing it was great.
I loved the song and you two's conversation is exactly how I see and handle life. I've lost a lot of loved ones including my oldest drowning at 18 years old.
I've also had to handle someone I love with addiction and having to be patient while they find a better way to handle life.

I remember the first time ev came to Mexico and I’ve have the fortune to attend every concert and presentation here in MX I wasn’t able to attend the last one that sadly my Mexican people fired the stage but I deeply in my heart hope one day I could see you all together. It’s just amazing what you both are creating, it’s like the alchemy of life getting materialize in art and beautifully sounds and power and something I can’t explain but I’m so grateful with life that I’m able to listen the art you have created

Yes they go perfectly together why they've done other songs off Synthesis Album on tour together! I can't wait to see the Holy Trinity Threesome Lindsey Stirling, Amy Lee, And Lzzy Hale! It's almost a foregone conclusion since all three have worked with the other. Apparently Lzzy and Amy are set to live in Tennessee together for collaboration with groups.
I'd like to see the look on Amy's sons face as his Mom sings.
