Nice find, looks like it has a 5/8" screw threads on the bottom if you wanted to attach it to a different mic stand like a boom arm. Like the spontaneity of this video.
The bottom is threaded for both 3/8" and 5/8" :)

Wow! When you switched to the Solocast I thought you were still on whatever mic you usually use. They sound identical! Really great mic for the price!
I'm gonna keep my eye out for this! Was planning to get the Seiren mini but this changed my mind. Would love to see a review on the Seiren Mini though. Also those Ducky Halloween keycaps are Stinkin' Cozy.

Sound is really clean and dang good
the best way to use a desk gaming microphone like this one in particular is to have it in front of the keyboard that way it doesn't pick up the key clicks. you will always be able to hear the vibration from the keys however.

Just purchased this mic on Best Buy on complete impulse. At just 60 bucks AND free next day shipping, I had to take a stab at it. HyperX has a good reputation with their gaming headphones so I'm thrilled to see a great review on this mic at such a friendly price point

This just got even better now that my local Micro Center (US) has it on sale for $40 and I will be heading down there tomorrow. I have some nice lavaliers (Rode , Shure and Joby) and headset mics (V-Moda) but I should get a standard condenser mic for some more streaming options.

Appreciate the review. Thx! What is your thought on the lack of a gain control like it's big brother the Quadcast? Trying to keep it simple and not have to do much audio processing for live video. Is this a needed function? Thanks in advance.

What about the keyboard n mouse click sound? How do u eliminate it while using discord? Is the noise suppression in discord any good? Cos the voice with suppression on will just cut randomly sometimes

I was looking to upgrade to a microphone from a headset mic even though my TB 700 gen 2's had a solid mic. Then this video came out and I kept checking and checking my local best buy for it to finally be in stock. Picked up one today and ordered a mic boom, can't wait to add this to my set up!

@@Voixxy For a budget mic with plug and play set-up, it's pretty good! Sounds great and everything, but the mic boom was necessary to get it off the table and with a shock absorber. It picked up EVERYTHING from keyboard typing to light hits on the desk otherwise.

How would this compare to like a Yeti? I feel with mics you quickly reach a point of diminishing returns and there's a lot you can do with things like voicemeeter or post processing

I got one for my friend because it is a really good microphone just the only downfall is it not having a shock mount but you can get one for pretty cheap so it doesn't really matter to much

Hell yeah i picked 1 up and got rid of my siren for 35 bucks haha im gonna pick up a quadcast soon to replace the solo but the solo is very good 💯
There's no shock mount built-in for this one and we can hear a lot of vibration whenever you hit the keyboard. I personally don't think it's a good mic, but love your energy in this video.

If I would only use the cardiodide mode to talk to my friends on discord and take my classes online, will the solocast be worth it, or would I rather go for the quadcast? I want to buy one of the two, which one would you recommend?
I have this mic and I found a solution on removing the vibrations of the mic, tilt it left or right like he did here in 2:30 and that should remove the vibrations, wont remove the keyboard clacks but will remove the vibrations, If this helped please let me know

@@zercs4286 nope not at all, nvidia broadcast / rtx voice is also a free program if you have a GTX or RTX graphics card that reduces background noise while not changing your voice

Hey techne. What size of a shock mount should I buy?
Only problem i have with the mic is that it picks up alot of vibrations and can resonate for like 10 seconds afterwards. I am picking up a shock mount soon tho

The sound you will get will depend on how well your motherboard drivers handle audio input via USB...
