Hollande may have won the French elections, but Far Right leader Marine Le Pen attracted record support and is showing no signs of slowing down. So what's next for the party and its controversial ambitions?
"I think we will come to power within a few years. The whole of Europe is becoming aware of the loss of our values." Le Pen's anti-EU, anti-immigration stance found many sympathetic ears during the Presidential campaigns and The National Front now has their eye firmly fixed on the National Assembly elections. "We have surprised everyone with the coherence of our views", Le Pen insists, as membership of the Youth Wing of the party has surged.
Yet the party's anti-Islamic stance has also alienated many voters and spread fears of rising extremism. If Le Pen gets a seat in the Assembly it will give the party its biggest endorsement for over a decade. "I think she is going to be part of the landscape for many years to come. For better or worse."

Why not let them have your old homeland to develop into another European society for more to enjoy? It's sad seeing this. I live in the Southwest part of the US. We have lots of Hispanic immigrants. There is some problems & issues over illegal immigration but there are very few issues with legal immigration. They come here to join the US, to become US citizens. They bring their culture, just like any group does but the vast majority also want to blend in with our culture. They want to join the US, not turn the US into Mexico and, for the most part, we all get along pretty well. That is proper immigration & that's a good thing.
I think the problem comes when a group immigrates with the intention of changing the country they are going to. If they go with the intention of changing the country they are going to, that's no longer immigration, that's an invasion. I really don't think most countries in Europe would have a problem with immigration if so many of the people coming in weren't trying to change things.

I have never bothered to vote in the French elections before because I have never lived in France and I have always been of the opinion that if I don't live in the country and isn't affected by the results of the elections then I shouldn't take part in them. I'm a young french, proud to be...( apologize for my bad english by the way) I have no problem with muslims, they are the welcome in my country but only if they work hard like real original french, respect our culture, if they don't walk in streets with there Muslim headscarfed wifes ( for exemple, many others). France is a secular country and a large part of them don't respect that. Like it is said in this doc french culture in disapearing days after days. So Marine le pen has my voice for a long time now and it won't change for a long time too.

My dad was born during WWII (in the end not so long ago), during a time when those ideas where very alive. We seem to forget that: millions of dead because of it.

I am not French, but I can understand where the person is coming from. If you are going to immigrate to another country that is not yours, you should respect the laws and customs of that land and try to assimilate as much as you can. If you don't agree, don't move there. It is that plain and simple. At the same time, you do not need to forgo your culture of where you came from, just don't impose it on others. the people seem to miss the point the french is a nationality it is not a race, if 90% of France is mixed race it is no less french
Why is this called ultra nationalism (implying racial superiority and violence)? Why is not just regular nationalism? And what is wrong with nationalism? I'm called a lefty here in the US and I think Le Pen has valid points.

I consider myself left wing supporter, but I agree with everything I heard in this video from Le Pan, every party should represent the will of the nation no matter left or right, and the nation only, not the 'citizens', cultures and religions of other countries. I'm European (but not French), and I lived in the UK, Ireland and Spain for many years, and I always tried to blend in, show respect, adopt the culture and language, but unfortunately muslims do not, and I understand and agree with Le Pan's anti immigration proposal, though I do believe Europeans should be allowed to migrate within the EU, as we share common cultural values, respect and history.
Seems like it is as worse in France like in northern Europe. Europe´s awakening is the best that has happened in a long time.

I totally understand and sympathize with movements of this type, because it's tough to live in a society trying to merge cultures on a massive scale, with no time to slowly integrate different customs, morals, family structures, business practices, religion (and religious conflicts), food, etc.. We had similar problems in America with the Irish, Italians, Jewish refuges and now Mexico/Central America. Ultimately integration was successful, but not without untold hoirror, crime, loss of life, organized crime etc...these things need to be gradual and guided, but they never are because the immigrants either will not or can not respect immigration law. And to lose jobs to a workforce happy to work for peanuts (because in comparison to their homeland, minimum wage here is a fortune), thus causing citizens to lose their jobs, and often sending the majority of the local currency thus earned, tax free, out of the country to family back home, thus draining the economy without any benefit. And finally, the newcomers rarely have any interest in respecting the language, customs or flag of their hosts, which strikes me as rude, arrogant and smacks of entitlement. This is happening on every nation on Earth that neighbors a poorer, or war-torn country. But why, WHY must these so-called right-wing or nationalist organizations associate in ANY way with Nazism or Fascism? It always seems to happen to one degree or another, and it's such a terrible idea, and I have to believe they don't know much about what they are parroting, because the two are so different in ideology.. It's putting the absolute worst aspects of such a historical failure like Naziism front and center, which almost guarantees nobody will listen to the legitimate points I just illustrated. You are automatically belittled and it is so easy for their opponents to sweep them under the rug as racists and loonies. I have never understood it...Hitler and his gang where insane, evil and, ultimately, failures. Don't claim them as your inspiration, you morons.

You know what some Europeans as well as some Americans have issues with immigrants and multiculturalism. At first I saw their point France for French and etc but they forget that their ancestors invaded and colonized nations and warped the cultures of the very people they do not want in Europe. I say if France and European nations can go to Africa, S. America, and Asia and impose their will those people can come to Europe and post up! A little hypocritical I think.
