Always love when Manly plays a shitpost game, and since you got a bad ending in 30 seconds about your life spiraling into despair because you didn't have a late night snack, I think it's fair to call this a shitpost game
I think "shitpost game" is the only way to describe this. It's a quality shitpost game, though.

What's unrealistic is that it's a bad ending to eat your Egg Fried Rice. No one in their right mind is ever going to risk letting that bad-boy stack of Egg Fried Rice get cold.

At first I thought the game is set in Japan, because driving on the left and it being a retro style horror game.
But the fact that you get the egg fried rice specifically at a chinese restaurant and not any local one gave me a hint. But what set the scene was the homeless guy asking for pennies and the villain looking like that.
The game is clearly set in Britain...

I got it pretty early on because it said 'whinging' instead of whining in the first ending and it called the flashlight a torch.

Honestly the story was pretty immersive, for being as silly as it is
All jokes aside, egg fried rice is top tier IMO, it's both tasty & filling
I like this game. The concept is a bit ridiculous, but everything seems to be properly covered. Even though I knew the man was going to turn around and stab you, it was still a bit unnerving. But the best part is probably that there's a good ending if you act sensibly. (I thought being able to find the dead restaurant people was incredibly neat.)
Although knowing this protag, his day will probably go poorly for one reason or another regardless. Well, hopefully his boss would be more understanding in the ending where the murderer was actually caught!
To be honest, the protagonist deserved it after not questioning that the restaurant was closed, and walking after getting attacked on the road.

from a developers perspective, they’re simple concepts that are easy enough to translate into games! which makes it simpler to get a finished product out into the world, and it feels super rewarding :) games like this are usually smaller projects, hence their simplicity hehe
