She's right about quite a bit but definitely wrong in terms of crypto. The pot of money invested in bitcoin doesn't magically get bigger, if you were one of the first who bought it and watched the value rise as others start putting money in, and when your coin is up in value and you cash out, all that money is now out of the pot and the value plummets for everyone else. I'd bet money that those still actively trying to convince others of crypto are to some degree just trying to recoup some of their failed investment.
