Have seen (and listened to) the King 10 times in my live. By a special occassion I've met him backstage in 1987 - what a man! One of the greatest ever is gone - he has joined the eternal Bluesband. RIP

B. B. is one of the bluesmusicians in my life who has still a great infuence to my taste of music. It´s very sad to me to loose the most of my favorite musicians, because they are more than just musicians for.

It saddens me to think I wont see his smiling face on the stage anymore. We are finding the direction of the new generation away to a different social media. He will be missed in more than the Blues. He will be missed as a human that brought the efforts to any and all, to enjoy life and not take so much on the hurt and pain of suffering. To make the time to create something positive in life.

They have made special effort to set up an large wake in Memphis for Tuesday and Wednesday in honor of bb. I would have been down town with the whole city up in lights in memory of bb king. That I had opportunity to meet his sister and talk with her about the life of the blues in Memphis was a wonderful summer for me back in 2006. I have been fortunate in many happenstance concerning Memphis and the music of beal street. From the 50s through the new era.
