- Bolt Action Battle Report: 1000 points, set in Italy the Soft Underbelly - Italians vs US Army VI Corps, customised scenario.
See the battle unfold as the US Army tackle the defending Italian army as they attempt to push deeper i to Italy and secure the allied invasion of Italy.
Set in an Italian village, along with an ancient Roman wall, the Italians have to defend at all costs.
This week’s battle report sees olaf return to the Ministry of Miniatures to play his new Italians.
Another great battle, fantastic board and a few laughs and banter along the way…
…but who will win, watch and see!

Out of the 3 infantry box sets that I did of Warlords for US I say the Rangers is the best as you have the options of making a flamethrower, sniper, and bazooka teams where as the USMC and infantry you can only do bazooka with just regular (no scoped rifles) infantry as filler snipers the Rangers actually have M-1903 A3 Springfield's with scopes.
The thing with the AS-42 Sahariana scout car is you got so many options for load out I think it is close to 10 where you can have a forward and rear pintle MMG and then 4 different main/ central pintle mounting everything from a MMG to an AT rifle, to a light autocannon to a light AT gun you can basically fit it out to what ever you want it to fill. The autocannon is probably the most flexible out of them all as it has the flak rule along with the MMG's

The Sahariana is great, but is a bit of a glass hammer, but as you say the options available are great and allow for a flexible, recce vehicle which should be a bit of a thorn to deal with.

Where do y’all get the tabletop mats? I’d love some larger mats like that where I can put hills underneath

Italian list : 1 one shot tank, 1 mmg squad, and 4 bland regular 10 man squad with an overpriced lmg. With other nation doesn't work with italians it horribly doesn't work. Good job with the battle report but to make games interesting you need interesting lists imo
Thanks, it’s Olafs first time with the Italians… if you check out some of our other videos we have some variations on German armies as Rick likes to go full cheese 🧀 Olaf has used DAK so something different.

yep, totally agree. Everything looks great but makes bolt action as if a heavily unbalanced game. Great sportsmanship though, specially from the Italian player,
@rodneip7077 yes, Olaf is a great sportsman and is pretty easy going. Glad you liked the game, some are well balanced, others not so, just depends on the forces, the scenery and the scenario… but they are good fun 👍🏻😃

Channel videos are not SEO optimized.
On page SEO, and off page SEO not done. These are required to increase the channel. etc.

It’s not always about what is best, it’s also about what we like, what feels thematic or even just what we have….
…we usually go with what we like to play for the battle.
