Far from shore, you get the experienced surfers, some of them are kind to beginners, others just think that they are the best, and there are a lot of people out the back. Closer to shore, you get bad waves littered with beginners taking surf lessons, which you can run into. Nowadays, the beach is covered with rocks, and the wave breaks further out so the paddle out takes a while. Locals are super friendly. Overall, I love this place, but it can get too crowded
