I was hoping you were gonna use the gas in the lighter as a the air supply.
As an artist this just doesn't cut it for the lack of control you have with this gadget. As an exercise in making something like this, sure it's neat. Having an airbrush designed for the purposes of doing your art, there is no substitute.
Some how this video brings me EXTREME nostalgia. Thank you.

It literally says airbrush, in what world does that mean flame thrower.
It’s common sense.
I think it would work way better if you used a much longer needle and epoxied the paint spout into a hole drilled into the bottom of the needle!

For walls sure, but this tool is mostly used to spray paint metal elements for cars and other stuff, so it would be bad for that purpose

pressure is too low.
~7 years ago i used valve from a lighter as a trigger and syringe needle as paint conduit and 2 bar compressor. The result was very close to a professional-grade airbrush - no drops on a painting surface, just uniform fog of atomized paint.

That's a very cool idea but not practical unless you are looking to achieve that effect. Much simpler it is using an actual airbrush and an ice cream popsicle stick.
