- Aviation enthusiast and filmmaker, Paul Carpenter captures the character and spirit of a 1943 Tiger Moth affectionately known as “Goosy”.
This lovingly restored vintage De Havilland biplane was French-registered during the final years of WWII when it served as an RAF primary trainer. Following a change of ownership it was transferred to England, registered G-OOSY and restored to its full former glory in distinctive RAF camouflage.

We love this wonderfully filmed tribute to this classic aircraft. Well done Paul Carpenter. We have a DH 82 Tiger Moth on display at the RAF Museum - Cosford
Wrong place for it. It should be flying.
This brings back memories in my later years. I owned a Tiger many years ago. Serial no. PG676. She was an outstanding airplane! I just wish I could have afforded to keep her!
A lovely little tribute, well produced, informative and interesting. It brought back memories of my flight in an old moth at Headcorn airfield in Kent in 1996. It was a surprise gift for me from my wife. 👍🇦🇺
Thanks for commenting. Headcorn and Duxford are by far the best places to go for vintage flying experiences, in my opinion. Glad you enjoyed it!
This is a beautifully produced video of a very beautiful aeroplane. Thank you for the inspiration!
Thanks so much, Mark. Really glad you enjoyed it!
I used to gauge my approach speed by the singing of the flying wires! They would actually hum when your speed was right!
I remember it well from when I used to fly in these biplanes - they seem to speak to you. There's nothing quite like the open cockpit experience.
I’m building a Tiger Moth kit and this is the colour scheme I want. Excellent.
Brilliant!
Thanks blancolirio!
my dads family worked for de havilland and my grandma got to fly one of these
Fantastic!
Yeah, really enjoy this . Beautiful.
Thanks Peter
Thanks for this video, truly a beautiful Aircraft!!! So graceful!!
Really glad you enjoyed it!

Christopher M Hansen Thanks so much, Christopher

Thanks for your kind comments Billbothebear14. For as long as a dream still makes you feel good, never give up on it.
Hi Gentleman! Thank you for sharing, what a classic video of a historical Airplane!! I just love the Tiger Mouth, I sure would love to fly in one before I pass on!! She's truly a classic!!
Fair Winds!!
I really hope you experience that one day! Thanks for watching.
Sencillamente , genial . Es un gran trabajo de restauración , perfecto en sus más mínimos detalles. Se destaca la pasión por hacer esa joya . Emblemático biplano de entrenamiento ha tomado vida nuevamente !!!
Ruben Bueno Gracias. ¡Me alegra que hayas disfrutado la película!
Can the background racket!!!!
Agreed; most inappropriate and too loud
Beautiful editing. Impressed.
Thanks, very kind of you.
You are indeed most welcome - beautiful work. I film vintage aircraft too and hoping that 2018 brings good things !
Peter McGarry That’s great, hope it goes well.
Thanks friend. My youtube channel is found under Peter McGarry. I have done one of the 2017 Shuttleworth season premiere..
That Gipsy Major sound is recognisable long before you can see the aircraft. Actually the construction wasn't any more advanced than the Sopwith Camel and SE5
I used to think that the tiger moth was a fighter bird. Good to know it was a trainer.
Thanks for the feedback, John C G. Glad you enjoyed it.
What is this like Carfection for planes? You just earned a new sub.
Gerardo Salas 😂
How contact with DE 971 owner or Club ? ( F-BGFI on French Register) ?
You show the wingspan as 34 ft, 4 inches, yet most other sites show a w/s of 29ft. 4 “....?
Icing on the cake would be for a young lady to fly it with long pony tail floating.
Going up in one at Duxford in a couple of weeks.
Enjoy. Duxford and Headcorn are the best places to go for vintage flight experiences in my opinion.
@@tea-and-medals-uk I did the Dragon Rapide 2 years ago, it was brilliant. Bit apprehensive about the open cockpit of the Tiger Moth though!
The music made it difficult to hear what was being said. Pity.
