Intro made me think i clicked on like a 12+yr old vid by mistake.
On some maps like exile you can save supplies and time on upgrading to super reactor if you have one of your Allies take out the Marines at the takable reactors and just slap down a barracks and make some marines to take it.
A good old fun strat

This isn’t perfect and I question if it’s faster than upgrading the supply pads at the start. He should say whether he’s tested multiple time variations and what they were.
It’s not perfect because the air building is built too early and you could have a supply pad until the 10 minute mark. You should also sell the defences when their confirmed to not have hogs anymore too, as the defences will do nothing later in the match. Under 10 minutes they could speedrun a scarab doing something similar and if your time can’t be better it’s very risky and useless for no reason.

I don't think you understand. It's virtually impossible to speedrun scarab in under 10 minutes on FD map. Lots of people have tried and failed while up against fast hawk deploy, especially the canadian strat. And if there are no hogs confirmed, it's possible they are all hiding on the sides of the map becasue of how fast they are. So always keep defense up and armed.
I have recently been testing and researching the game to optimise things you can do. I can see sometime playing this map and get the lowest scarab time I can. I have noticed it’s roughly 10 minutes or less if focused though on maps that don’t have generators or supplies to capture and modify time.
I'm pretty sure the strat would work better with forge. He statrs with the heavy supply pad which means you only need two heavy pads instead of three normal pads. This way you can buy 4 power plants for cheaper instead of upgrading and get the grizzzlies out faster.

Obviously you are building turrets for a reason, you expect to get attacked before you can get units out, so there has to be some line between getting a strong T1 army and making a play vs thirty warthogs with gunner. Ofc some turrets wouldn’t be enough to counter a warthog rush, too.
Or are the turrets just to deter scouts/leaders from taking out buildings?
Im a new player and my friends that have been playing this for a long time want me to join them and do a 2v1 and i know ill be the focus point so i want to catch them off guard

I can get a scarab out at 8 min (clicked or built i dont remember) so i dont think this strat holds well against a quick scarab no?
So I got same time but with 3 hawk with full spartan if u do 2 supplies panel 3 marines u spam supllies on main base by this time u would already have a seconde base upgrade it once 2 supply then 2 reactors
Btw 3 marines almost one shot rebels turret so juste do that for efficiency u don’t wanna lose a marines
U can even make the whartog tank turret and rebels so no marines lose hp ( which mean less dmg since some soldiers will die )

Edit: I tried rushing hawks myself and had the upgrade queued at 7:23, which tells me the video is a joke bc I know you could probably get them faster than 7:23 and you didnt

Not a good strat. Why didn't you upgrade your pads? If you are rushed its game over. Have to start with hogs. 0 units until 11 minutes is game over for you and your team
