Match Vlog- Hanley Town 0-1 Stafford Rangers! *Rangers through to the next round of the FA Cup 🏆
Rangers progressed to the 1st Qualifying Round of the FA Cup following victory away at Hanley yesterday in the Preliminary Round which puts us into the hat for Monday’s draw.
The first half performance from us was awful we kept losing the ball Hanley should have been at least one nil up at half time with the chances they had we were lucky for the score to still be level.
In the second half Rangers were a completely different team we looked more purposeful and precise going forward which led to our opening goal in the 60th minute after Sean Cooke produced a pin perfect corner into the penalty area with Jimmy O’Neill getting his head on the end of it.
I was really impressed with new signing Stanley Anaebonam who looked really quick and skillful on the ball. Also, Diego McGann who joined Rangers on first game of the season played really well.
Hanley had some good chances to score but they got punished for not taking any of them where we took our chance from a set piece which won Rangers the game.
Onto Congleton Town away in the league on Tuesday night but I won’t be there for that one though so the next vlog will be Long Eaton United away in the FA Trophy Preliminary Round next Saturday!
