Welcome to the Letterman CZcams Channel, home to all your favorite clips from Late Night and Late Show - as well as conversations with the writers, producers and performers who helped make it all happen. The language may strike you as quaint & flowery, the clothing comically lacey & ornate - but that’s how things were back in this colorful and now bygone era. - Zábava
finally someone mentioning norm
Funny impersonation of Ricky Henderson!
R I P Norm
R I P McCain
R I P to the geese that struck flight 1549
And Sully's mustache
What an interesting choices he picked.
3:41 A great human being. We need more like him!
I dont like Christie, but I give him credit for the donut gag.
Same.
"Fool, you got to go help him" GOLD !!!
I've had a similar thought, "Darn, I better do something". Nothing to this level, of course.
HA HA! This one was epic. I remember the Chilean guy being hilarious, Chris Christie eating, and Norm's Vegas rumination, and still find it all funny. Even better, Brian Williams eating out of a dumpster and stealing a car, which I've never seen till now. This episode was like eating a piece of layer cake with whipped cream and a maraschino cherry on top. When you feel so inspired, keep 'em comin'!
I'm watching all of these segments and realizing how bright and funny Bruce Willis is. Also charismatic. He's great.
This one of my favourite compilations to date!
Because of he Diet Cokes?
The subway hero is a boss
The 53rd stuff and the interviewing of the real and interesting people was what made Dave the best. I also like that Dave let his staff take photos with their families at his desk.
Good to hear a Norm bit. Very few loved Dave more.
Thanks Mike. Great compilation. Norm's 'jury of your peers' line always gets me. Such a good bit.
3:53 serious bad ass human!!
This is one of the best all-CBS compilations I’ve seen.
to be fair to Mr. Biuckzkijkewickiyz , he couldn't really talk about memories from a show he didn't work on
Yes, ton of 2010’s nostalgia here
Love that Norm bit so much!
These are the greatest. Thanks so much to all for doing them.
Elvis’s Suspicious Minds by the miner😂😂😂
Wow! Mike did a lot for David Letterman during the final years of his late night reign. He should be congratulated!
I've watch many of the "Staff's Favorites" videos and Mike Buckiewicz's collection is, by far, the best.
The Chilean miner was fun, he was so nervous but put himself out there in the most charming way! And it looked like he probably had a great time chatting with the interpreter backstage by how much fun she was having. This was a great compilation all around! Good work Mike!
💯
The US Air crew appearance was fabulous... "Brace for impact.... Ever hear that in any other aspect of your lives..." "Jeff: going to the inauguration, the Super Bowl and of course David Letterman... Dave: the big three, that's right..."
That "brace for impact" line had me snort-laugh on the train just now.
The Chilean miner that went through a once in a lifetime event, has the wherewithal to realize being on David letterman is another once in a lifetime event, and like the first, he was gonna make the best of it! Bravo 👏😁
One of the best compilations yet!
Fantastic! These different perspectives on the show are absolute gold. So many great stories. 👍
I love every part of this video. Please keep them coming!
Goodness. Thanks!!
This whole Letterman Eulogy series deserves its own Category Award
These compilations are great! Thanks.
Who needs the Bellagio fountains when you can have diet cokes outside Rupert’s?
That dogs face hahaha
Thank you for this Mike!!!
These moments are some of the most best, of the era! Congrats for being the mastermind behind the scenes. I was at the Steve Martin/Emmylou Harris final shows... It was a treasure to be there
Gold, Dave. GOLD !
This was one of the better ones Barbara. I still haven't gotten my jacket.
Me neither. I wasnt picked though. Might have something to do with that 🤔
Every one of these is a golden pick
This is my favourite one so far
Great memories and moments
So awesome
These get better and better
Thank God I needed this today!
Didn’t we all?
Thank don't thank god, thank letterman and his crew. Thank you.
@@morbidmanmusic he capitalized it…sounds like he’s pretty serious about the gratitude going straight to the top…
Bruce Willis was one funniest guests. His outrageous Orange suit was my favorite.
Love the punch outs too!!
WOW! This is fascinating to see the process, as well as some of the actual spots I missed originally. I am indifferent to sports, but obviously the baseball player impersonator is talented and entertaining! The subway hero is breathtaking. My God, how many people would risk their life to do something so hugely dangerous to save a person even THEN?? Today, you wonder if anyone would.
Instead of helping, everybody would be videoing it on their phones.
@@debschaefer7820 Sadly you're right. I only thumbsed you up because so.
Agreed - I don't think I've sat through an entire baseball game but the impersonations got me laughing.
That miner and interpreter are henceforth invited to every mixer we at the Letterman Podcast throw.
Also: we don’t typically have mixers.
Have to comment here seeing the former First Lady. What a classy, witty and down to earth woman. Sure do miss her, and that guy she was with. ❤
I only give genius to certain letterman’s guys but you are in the top three
I could not have jumped onto the subway tracks that’s for sure. I would been frozen in horror
Thank you, so cool!
I love these!
Great work, thank you!
Loved this! Miss you folks!
LOVED NORM😂🎉
Best. Show. Ever!!
Heartwarming choices! Thank you.
Norm!
Thank you for the bit on Norm
I would love to see the rest of the baseball imitator sequence. He was really interesting.
He crushed it. Was killing like he was a stand up
Those taxi-sized buses didn’t get the traction NYC was hoping for, so the concept was abandoned pretty quickly.
Wonderful to see 🙂 I do wonder why Jimmy Carter didn't appear to do the 'long, national nightmare is over...' line at the beginning of Dave's final show. Didn't Mike say that all the presidents had talked and agreed to do it?
I believe he was fighting cancer at the time. I could be wrong. He's been in and out of death's door quite a bit in the last 15 years or so.
I need to know more about this office. It’s where Barbara shoots her CZcams show….what is it?! Who works there?!? Why is it?!?
Genius
Nice pics😂
Norm! 🖤
Wow Bruce Willis at the end - talk about a *punch up artist* @17:24
N O R M...😭
good lordy we miss you dave ...
this guy is like Dave's best employee, wow
Awesome! Not enough human interest content on this channel, I think. Dave was always so good at handling that type of stuff.
We want the lady with the potato chips!
@@thelettermanpodcast remember Carson having a woman on with potato chips. Was there another one?
@@debschaefer7820 the same gal, she was on Dave first :)
💯
It's never over with youtube!!!!!
Who is this guy - Benjamin Button????!!!!
This guys a nerd which is why he was good at his job
Michelle Obama ❤❤❤ President Obama 💖💖💖
7:54 dave's pencil. take a good look at it.
This may be the best one yet!
Brian Williams stole Mark Zuckerberg's car!
that's what I thought ...
😂😂😂 👌
What is with the yellow bookcase.. it look a upcycled Piece from Hanford Nuclear Site. Did you decorate with a limited budget?
Remember when politicians could take a joke about themselves?
11:52 NORM CONTENT ALERT
Help me out guys. I'm a casual late night viewer from The Netherlands. What do I know Mike from? I can't put my finger on it.
Mike who ?
Imagine thinking Obama was working on something serious...lol
Wait what? Republicans used to have a sense of humor?
never thought I'd look back on the Bush years as "the good old days" lol
I was watching McCain thinking how much I miss him. A true hero and one of the last honest republicans that was willing to go against his party to do what was right for the country and could admit when he made a mistake.
McCain had a great sense of humour and didn’t mind poking fun at himself. Check out his SNL skits!
that was before they all went over to the dark side and morphed into the tRUMPubliKKKlan orcs
Big Mike, so gross
I like Jimmy Kimmel's monologues but man, the rest of his show just BITES. Like sixth grade talent show stuff compared to Dave.
