It’d be lovely if they gave Bryan a mid launching extension or a low/hatchet extension. Other than Steve, every other character can bully you with several mixups. Bryan has the exact same tools since Tekken 4/5.
That's true, Bryan is a lot more based on the delays and timings to make "fake" mixups instead of true 50/50s which are probably a bit harder to do. Try showing a heavily delayed extension, and then the next time just do a low instead with those mentals frames and you'll have something close to a real 50/50.
@@vontibanThat’s true brother, but what’s the reward lol? I’ve played Tekken from the beginning and play several characters, there’s not a 50/50 that Bryan has that makes the opponent fear eating a mix. After hatchet kick he gets a non-launching mixup that’ll most likely end his turn if it’s not a poke. It’s a gamble to go for a slower frame mixup because hatchet doesn’t give you enough frames…all after a clean quarter circle input. Bryan’s my favorite character along with Armor King, he just cannot build and maintain offensive pressure or even deal with pressure in a game that’s all about offense.
@@BustaNAugusta Everything you said about his offensive pressure falling off is very true. At his core he's playing CH keep out and only using lows to get the opponent frustrated enough to open up (otherwise we just orbital and 3+4 for free all game if they are already attacking). The thing is, ultimately the only real good reward we get once the opponent freezes up is....TJU lol. Hence why he's got such a high execution ceiling I think.
@@vontibanThat’s where I need to improve my Bryan, TJU and TB4. Your videos legit help brother, I’ve started using db3 more without always following up so I can change timing/pace. The taunts come in to close rounds as most skilled players know Bryan can’t open you up when it comes to low health situations. Your motivation and wisdom on Bryan is very much appreciated brother, I’ll continue to improve ✊🏼. I still hope for some buffs tho! No reason all of Bryan’s key moves are either punishable or duckable! Hatchet shouldn’t get launched or punished on block imo…like it didn’t in 7.
I will never complain if they buff him haha! But best of luck on the grind and improvement man!

Haha you hate to see it! Bryan's jab has some of the most extreme properties where it reaches really far and high to float things but then all sorts of stuff slips underneath it, so we need to figure out how to motivate that while utilizing its strengths. Thanks for watching!
@@vontibanI agree! I’m just frustrated at years of work with Bryan only to lose matches because of his specific bugs, nuances and limitations when they literally don’t exist with other characters. Bryan mains truly have superior Tekken fundamentals compared to players of similar rank that use most of the other characters. Thank you so much for your content and replying to me!
