Hi all! This is a very strange Nintendo game imo, but I enjoyed it nonetheless! I feel like this game was made for extremely strict households where the child begs for a Mario game, so their mom buys them this game because it is educational and basically has nothing to do with Mario at all lol. But still, it has some nice Nintendo charm to it! The graphics, the music, the sound FX, etc, are all very clearly made by Nintendo and fit somewhat within the Mario-verse lol. But basically, in this game, you travel the world looking for Mario and return famous cultural artifacts along the way, and eventually find Mario and see a somewhat lackluster scene of the two brothers catching Bowser. If you're a Mario super fan then I'd say try this game. Otherwise, it's probably more fun to just watch it! Enjoy!

A funny part in the NES version of Mario Is Missing is that King Kong was one of the landmarks that the Koopa Troopas took away that you have to return despite the fact that King Kong is FICTIONAL.

You know a Mario game is bad when even Nintendo won't acknowledge its existence. Same for Hotel Mario. Although Hotel Mario escaped being on any Nintendo system and made for a lot of funny internet memes. Those are two things that Mario is Missing DOESN'T have, except for Weegee.

Educational games can be really fun and make learning fun. Not this one though. When you're not confused about what to do or where to go, you're just reading text. No fun learning activities or anything like that. Mario fans honestly got robbed when it came to educational games.
