  • He's Casey Neistat and here are his Top Rules for Success.
    1. Believe
    He dropped out of Ledyard High School in the 10th grade at age 15 and did not return to school or graduate.
    2. Absorb the motivation
    From age 17 until 20 he lived in a trailer park with his girlfriend and their son.
    3. Focus on the why
    In mid-2001 he began working with the artist Tom Sachs, ultimately making a series of films about the artist's sculptures and installations.
    4. Explore
    He first gained international exposure for a three-minute film titled iPod's Dirty Secret, criticizing Apple's lack of a battery replacement program for the iPod.
    5. Find a way
    In 2004 Neistat and his brother created a film series titled Science Experiments.
    6. Have a great story
    In 2008, Home Box Office HBO purchased an eight-episode television series, "The Neistat Brothers", for just under $2 million.
    7. Work hard
    He has released 240 short movies on CZcams since the account was opened on February 15, 2010.
    8. Be fearless
    In addition to his career in television and film, Neistat also directs television commercials, having worked with clients such as Nike and Google.
    9. Embrace available resources
    He has lectured on topics related to filmmaking and his life experiences.
    10. Act now
    He's also a seasoned triathlete, having completed 4 full Ironman triathlons, with the best timing of 11 hours and 10 minutes.

    Well that starting to make sense... I'm a comspci student who do a lot of things in my free time, gamedev, novels, pixel art whatever, and a lot of time I never managed to get anything done and ended up procrastinating instead.

    This guy is very in the material world, you know? Not spiritual in his advise, spiritual concepts are closer to reality though. Look it's nice to say judgemental negative people are wrong because they are wrong and mentality convince yourself of that, but it's just an ego mental gymnastic.
    Criticism can be good, but yeah the haters aren't wrong and you are not right. You dont need to make yourself superior, as glamorous as that can sound.
    Realize the fact that there is no personal self outside of a mental story made up of thoughts and memory, and you will find peace and confidence in what you are and what you do. Or you could try to convince yourself that haters are inferior to you, but you are shooting yourself in the foot bro
