The timing was perfect for us. Sadly we lost our 12 year old lab mix on Christmas day at 5:45. We were out of town and this was totally unexpected. Luckily our dogs' (we had 9 street rescues, mostly with special needs, with our dear Lexi) caregiver called within 2 minutes of her realizing what was happening (she rightly called the emergency vet first). There was nothing that could be done. She put the phone near Lexi's ear so I could speak to her. She laid on the floor with Lexipeeing her lovingly. Together we were hopefully comforting Lexi as she made her trip across that rainbow bridge. I don't think I can make this right now as it hurts to much, but maybe later. Thank you so much for giving us help in conveying our feelings in art form!

I love it. I did something similar for my sweet boy that crossed the bridge this summer. I used a created stone from a HDC mould, and took a photograph of my boys memorial footprint from the vet clinic (which I had to reduce by 20% so it would fit on the stone), traced the print onto the stone using white graphite paper, and went from there, using rainbow colours in the paw print. I also added a created diamond after the resin to the centre of the stone.
Sadly, one of my friends just tragically lost her very special boy while racing to get him to the vet clinic in the middle of the night, so I’ll definitely give this version a try with a created stone ❤️

This comes at a perfect time, my neighbour had to put their beautiful Boxer to sleep on New Year's Eve. She was old and in pain so it was for the best. I have done one of these for them.
I've used Elmers white school glue to thicken some of my watery paints. It dries clear so you can't even tell it's in there and it has no oils so the resin won't split over it. Just an FYI for any one that can use it.💕💖

Another good product is a gel medium that comes in a matte finish.
To thin out paint, use a Liquitex pouring medium.

I just created this rock. It took a long time and much trial and error to even draw the dog print. I am a beginner and am making a memorial for my daughters' dogs that she has lost (7). Plan on this rock being the center and making small oval stones with each dog's name on them to put around the paw print rock. It will also be my first-time using resin, wish me luck.

Rachel, after I paint a rock with black, I can’t see my pencil marks. What pencil are you using?
I use matte black paint. If I use satin or glossy paint pencil won't show up easily. Any pencil works on mine. Are you using matte paint?

Hi Hun. Can you please let me know were you get the fixer that you used on the stone after you 1st put the gold on? I think you used it when you did a big dot in the 2nd colour.. please never change the way you work you are what us brits call a true earth Angel 😇 ❤.. thank u once again I'm going through a dark time health wise.. thought my cancer had come back but its not that so going for more tests... I am in a lot of pain. Even texting this but I just seem to push through the pain...pay for it later but thank you so much and if ever you want something from the uk sent over I would be more then happy to get it and send it our to you Angel Hugs Sylvia 🫂 xxx
