I agree, it’s weird that they each come with the exact same comic. Each figure should at least come with its own variant cover, that way it’ll add to the collectibility.
It would be awesome if each variant cover created one full picture when placed side by side. I've seen Marvel do that with individual comic issues and I'm sure many others have done the same thing
I feel like I am the only one that came with a black and white black Adam figure with a black and white comic cover but I haven’t seen it online anywhere
Brad, that color comparison you did for the Batman and the screen colors of green and gray was fantastic. No other reviewer has done anything like that to clearly show viewers just how green it is.
I got the Batman from this wave, and I freakin love it. I noticed the greenish color right away and I actually really like it? We see blueish greys all the time, but greenish grey? I dunno, I think it really lends itself to the sculpt and design. Great review man!
That saturation change on Superman is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! I would love a Superman done in those colors and sculpt. C'mon McFarlane, the money is right on the table with that one!
Honestly kind of impressed with these. That Superman's face looks much nicer than the preview stuff made it look. The big hands aren't great, sure, and the cape's not the best, but it being able to do such a nice flight pose is a big plus.
The amount of sculpted detail on that Batman figure almost makes it look like he could pass for a live-action Batman. He could probably even replace or substitute for the Batfleck figure for anyone who collects the live-action figures. I may even do that since I never grabbed the Batfleck one cause I'm not too crazy about that armor (I'd have preferred it if it were his costume was from BvS)
Definitely getting Superman and Black Adam (absolutely love that Superman despite the massive hands). I'm undecided on Batman & Constantine. If I do get Bats he's definitely getting a repaint on that grey.
I like all these sculpts since I enjoy Bermejo art. The coloring / paint should be better but it’s not a deal breaker. Batman is my favorite & Superman’s facial expression is “Blue Steel” appropriate for the Man Of Steel ;)
I enjoyed this review. Army green Batman is surprisingly sexy. That Constantine figure would look really nice with some paint touch ups. His pants have a little tare on the right leg too, having some flesh color there would add a nice little detail on the figure. Also painting the jacket belt buckle would add to the pop.
Honestly I like superman's color the way it is. It's dark and gritty. I'm tired of the white bread good boy superman bright ass royal blue in everything. This superman is like the man of steel's superman suit

I can´t believe the Constantine show wasn´t given a chance. Batwoman was awful and allowed to reach 4 Seasons and as for DC´s Legends of Tomorrow I only watch it because I´m a DC fan. Enough to say that I was extremeley glad to know this next Season will be its last..
I cannot unsee Green Batman. The desaturated version you did was so good. As was the saturated version of Superman. I feel like McFarlane comes so close to nailing it with their figures and then they do something bizarre to ruin it. Im only picking up Constantine from this wave.
I'm a fan of a leaner superman. Constantine looks great and with the slight eyebrow raise, i really like the expression the side eye gives him. And great accessories. We've gotten a lot of prime kitbashing and customizing parts with McFarlane. I'm not much of a fan of the Batman body, but the cape, cowl, belt, boots, and gloves are probably my favorites. Too bad there's not a lot of parts compatibility so guess a much more aggressive approach is required. Still. This is probably my favorite Bermejo Batman design, I prefer the separate logo.
I'm so glad they started this line, it is getting me into comics and these are awesome figures, I love wave one, the batman is so good and Constantine too, wave two and the injustice 2 batman and flash are better than the multiverse figures, even though they're one in the same and yes I saw another review that mentioned the green, now it's like GI Joe batman.. what line is that lee vermejo figure from?

Dude black Adam's head articulation goes down more because he looks down at his enemies from above. He never looks up to them. Its part of his personality. So if you pose him flying above everyone looking down with 1 hand up its perfect
I have Superman and Constantine preordered and I'll probably grab Black Adam. Instead of a 4-part comic series included, I'd rather each figure had a standalone story come with that focuses on that specific figure, personally.

Brad, I do like the Batman the best minus paint flubs. The sculpt does capture the art style as much as a mass produced figure can , reasonable price point and all. It's kinda difficult between John and Adam. I do like Adam overall in execution. John would of been a shoe in for concept but his color mismatch and flubs knock him down a peg or three. Superman is strong too strong he must of been exposed to red-green kryptonite at the factory and mutated 😉 your four part comic idea was gold(not kryptonite) and was the way McFarlane should of packed these Page Punchers. Everything McFarlane figure scale has been build a figure , build a batmobile, Jumped the manshark he did😁. 👍✌️
Hey Mr Brad good morning just wanted to tell you I'll probably get the Black Adam and the Constantine Batman is on the fence I'm not crazy about the Superman at all but I do like that Black Adam better than the one we got with endless winter I want to see how far he's going to take this line before I start investing too much in it
Nice review of all these I'm only really interested in Constantine (Superman more or less ),the others have a really nice sculpt but not my cup of tea really, I'm more for classics designs .Batman looks too much like a soldier for my taste but to give credit where credit is due the sculpts are really nice and detailed, and it's a good representation of Lee Bermejo style.
I have to disagree on the Black Adam figure. Except for the head sculpt, the previous one has better proportions and gold that looks like gold, as opposed to flat yellow plastic. But that's me.
From some promotional photos I've seen batman here is grayish green over dark or light gray color on the toy so that one to me is quite inaccurate to the comic cover and its page there at least superman looks fine to me thinks.
great review . I only got bats and constatine from this wave. The same comic with every figure was the killer for me getting the others. but man those large hands with sups are hilarious , he musta got stung by a kyptonite wasp lol I wonder if they accidently gave him the rebirth sups hands instead of the other ones as I kinda noticed they looks bigger then the redson/dc1000 version .
It is kinda complicated. Generally figures that come with comics come with reprints so each having a different issue isnt a big deal. But since this is an original comic if you put a different part in each box then youd force the consumer to buy all 4 to get the full story. Which isnt great. But when I say it like that, it really isnt any different than a BAF wave. Kinda on the fence about it. Cause I like that I could pick and choose from the wave. But I also dont hate the others either and wouldnt have minded getting them if the story was 4 issues instead of 1.
LOVE the Batman figure. I'll pass on the rest. Superman's head and his hands look terrible. The body looks great. I might get him if I do head and hands swaps.
Nooooooo on the comic idea, splitting it into 4. I don’t want to be forced into buying every figure in every wave. Already tied that into BAF waves, but mixing it with some BAF waves and some not is great cause we can pick and choose which figures. For this line I am only buying unique figures, so only got Constantine. I don’t want to have to buy my 50th batman figure.
If you dont like the Endless Winter figure, and you arent a fan of the crotch piece on the new Black Adam, maybe do a swap? The one you already dont care for can have the golden crotch and the new one can have a more simple one. If I get this Black Adam I may do that myself.
So I happen to buy a few of these figures. And what the he'll is going on with the leg proportions. Black Adam's legs are horrendous. The hands on supes are comically large. Dude how can this company keep.messing up the proportions to such a laughably bad degree. Black Adam's legs are so off its embarrassing. This toy company has been around for decades how do they not have a basic understanding of anatomy and proportions. It's embarrassing.

Definitely! Even with the original Spawn figures in 94 Todd had special covers of the first issue of Spawn depending on what character you got.

I think it's for collectors who probably want one or two from these lines. I'm mainly interested in the Superman and iffy on Constantine

I put the action comics Supe's head on mine and the dark knight Supe's fists on and I like the overall look better.
