Rubber, it‘s the phase where both players try to get a hit while not getting themselves hit. A nice indicator is when the players are just moving around and throw moves out, while no one gets hit. Once a hit connects, it usually enters another state.

He also got 3 stocked by Shuton on Kalos. But Light's like 0-6 against him, so it's more of a bracket demon thing than a stage choice I guess

In all fairness, I think Light does so well against them because he's one of the most aggressive players and has done so well parrying. Other players parry well, too, but Fox has much more safe out of shield and parry options against many of the characters popular in Japan. He's really improved substantially as a player since his debut. Frostbite was where he showcased potential. Smash Summit was where he showcased his progress.

I always feel so bad for Zackray when he loses, But that was a good set either way. Light is also a pretty amazing player, his tech chases look nightmarish

I was so excited when Light popped off but seeing Zachary cry is disheartening, he tried his absolute best and did a damn good job, I was stressing the entire match, the ending was soo close, I almost had a heart attack Istg. Zachary did amazing and I feel bad for him. He deserves a pat on the back or even a hug after that. Poor kid.
Does light stream? I could literally watch Light play all day, his tech chases are so on point. Actually looks very intimidating to go up against.
Pretty sure he said he’ll be able to start streaming once he moves out his parents or something.

Watching Zackray's Joker made me realise how much setups MKleo knows about Joker and how he makes every frame and fastfall of Joker worth it for big combo's. It's crazy how far MKleo is with Joker compared to other Joker players.

Zackray’s Joker can definitely use some polishing. Incredibly solid but even I could tell he was swinging back air way too many times. Can’t wait to see what he has in store for the future.
Howie Thao he never used his counter either. Light is SO aggressive, it would have been easy to punish him for it once or twice and put that split second doubt of “should I?” for the rest of the match.

Hey I'm new to smash! How do you tech/ whaat is it? 6:12 looked like he could never get back up to me! Also how do they get back to stage so often? My up b never looks like it would reach when I'm off screen
@@ProjectRemedy16 By pressing the R trigger (that's the default binding for shield) when you get knocked into the wall. That reduces the knockback significantly, which would make Light able to jump / up B back to the stage. You can do the same thing if you're getting juggled for instance, if you don't tech when you land your character will lie down flat and your opponent can punish you. If you press R when your character's body connects with the surface he'll "bounce back" up straight away!
(or the L trigger for that matter, although me and a lot of other smashers rebinds one of them to jump which allows you to to attack cancel)

Light's tech chases looking really scary, both of them played really well.
Also, what's wrong with some people here in the comments, most of the players get upset when they loose, maybe Zackray had more expectations or he could have been stressed too, everyone has stuff on their minds. You all are acting like if he cried everytime he looses a set, let him process his feelings, no need to call him a crybaby.

Smash tournament winnings don't make a career, but you'd at least like to pay for the ticket home, especially if you've established yourself as a top 10 player in the world like Zackray has. It's about more than just the money, of course, but don't trivialize the need to buy food.

bー 文法レッスンをありがとう. Looking back, Zackray wasn't ready for Light though. He was tilted and there are so many good Marios in the west that Light has fought. Dark Wizzy, MastaMario, Prodigy, etc. Zackray should have gone a different character like ROB or G&W.

I feel so bad for Zackray, tho I do have to question why he stubbornly wouldn’t switch off the Mario until he was demolished into thinking otherwise, also why did you let him take you back to Kalos? That’s basically Lights second home
Zackray tries to make a lot of characters work. Mario is just another really fundamental heavy character that can help with match up coverage, and since Zackray has phenomenal fundamentals, he can pick up a char like Mario pretty easily.
That said, I do agree though that Zackray should put more of a focus on his mains like his Joker.

I thought Zack shoulda been up throwing with Mario at low percents because down throw only leads to an f tilt follow up on a fast faller like Fox and sure enough, in game 3 he up throws and gets 33% off of it. I also thought Zack was gonna bet it all on a rebels guard game 5 last stock so he could get arsene and look for an early percent kill but either way ggs to both

He has a tweek problem. He can play many characters, which you'd think would be a good thing. But he has to be consistent first before using a char just cause he won one local with it. He has to play his best. Who he feels comfortable with. Zackray is more than capable of doing that. Just needs to think twice.

I’ve been playing smash for a while but not too familiar with the competitive side. Can someone explain some of these terms ? “2 frame”, “Frame 3” ,(etc..) “D.I”, “Mango” “True” , “Tech” ?And other terms, thanks !
Frames are how fast a move comes oht, D.I is directional input, true usually refers to a combo that is true and will always hit, a tech is when you hit the stage and press your shield buttons to get up faster, and the mango was just referring to a popular smash melee player lol

Zackray is such a technical genius player and knows he can be the best. Losses hit his heart so hard. I really hope he gets a coach that helps his mental health and...counterpick the right damn character out of his buffet of choices
He relies too much on counterpicking and has confidence issues that cripple his strategy. He plays half the roster so that he can always counterpick and play an advantageous matchup, but the moment he drops a game to someone, he loses faith in that counterpick, falls back to Joker, then he's just a discount MKLeo.
I understand feeling bad for Zackray but I also feel bad for Light cause he had to play against a (really damn good) Joker
