I am unable to push it even on the lowest setting the suction is too great.... is this only meant to pull?

Just got my Miele C1 and the suction hose has white plastic rings on the end that seem impossible to remove. Yet with them on, it's impossible to connect the hose to the handle. Help!

I have the same white plastic ends. Do not remove them. I think in the video they are the same in black. They plug in just fine.

Mine doesn't slide across the floor very easily. I wonder if it's because it's sucking too hard.

HI Sam-- what flooring are you trying to clean? As this model comes with the dual-function head, the SBD 285-3 combo tool, it's really only ideal for hard flooring and limited, low pile carpeting. If you are trying to clean larger area of thicker pile carpeting, Miele makes an amazing air driven tool, called the STB 30-5 Turbo TeQ attachment. This carpeting attachment has a spinning brush roll, and will glide across your carpeting much easier than the combo tool. Please reach out to our customer service staff for purchasing. @@philochristos Oh we are so glad to hear. You can also play around with your suction, starting at the highest level (all the way to the right), and going down from there. You'll want the turbo head bristles to freely spin, yet still pick up everything in its path. hope this helps!
