I have to admit that I think this is the best interview out of all the Legends. I find myself coming back to it again and again because he is very inspirational.
Especially the part about how he took Dennis Lillee's comments as a personal challenge. A lesser person might have given up on the spot but Chaminda Vaas had a champion mindset. Fast bowling in the subcontinent is the toughest job there is but he took the challenge on and took over 750 international wickets and proved the great Dennis Lillee wrong.
Chaminda shows that the right mindset and the willingness to work hard is the most important quality in the world and will overcome being born with great talent. I am not a cricketer but I find this useful for my own life. I hope others can use this as inspiration in their own lives and careers as well.
Including our current players in the Sri Lankan team. They have the talent, let's hope they can get Mr Vaas's mindset as well so they too can become champions like him.
